at full strength we can beat any team in this comp. as it is, we've done the pies and port and now saints ... i think the Dees are a bridge too far this weekend.
looks like we won't hear about kemp's hammy until teams are named thursday night. but given 3 weeks in a row we've lost players to hammies, kemp could go. so my big concern for finals is how many more players are we gonna lose.
we know harry is back. if we can get cerra and walsh, maybe sos so we don't have to see pittonet plodding around, we're a threat to the flag imho.
in other observations:
there's enough tape on pittonet's knee to circumnavigate tasmania. a slow cumbersome ruck hobbled on one leg isn't ideal. would young be better than pittonet in a pure ruck role?
but. on young.
against the pies when young crashed the forward pack and winded himself and cracked charlie in the ribs, did anyone see charlie's reaction? he was really pissed. and not one player went to young's aid. that tells me young is really on the outer here, and maybe his attitude and dispute with weitering, runs much deeper??
Not sure about Young for Pittonet, but Pittonet had more hits to advantage than Marshall in the 2nd half last week. Not that I rate how they measure HO to advantage. Just sayin. He could hit Gawn hard and trouble him if he's got a bit of that Nankervis mongrel in him (and Nankervis is a heavy plodding ruckman too).
Lets not make the Wetering- Young rumour a fact till it is. Just because someone thought Weitering's body language proves the point, it doesn't. The whole team seems buoyant AFL & VFL. Sure Charlie may have been pissed off, but anyone would be regardless of who it is, doesnt mean theres animosity thereafter. Please.
