Not a Dow fan but reckon I would have kept him and not brought Owies in. Need an extra mid.
Otherwise agree with changes but given his recent form, hope TDK still gets a decent go in the ruck.

i’ve refused to watch or listen to the last five games. watched last ten minutes of port game iirc. definitely can’t handle the stress of tomorrows game at any score line.

if we bring the heat like Port did last week we’re in with a chance but we have to take out opportunities to score to put real scoreboard pressure on.

Port failed to kick straight when it mattered against us and the filthy pies and paid for it. same applies to us tomorrow, we must grab our opportunities in each and every quarter or we’ll be overrun at some point. Harry is a big out for us against this team in particular. Walsh is a big out against any team. but we have the style of play and players to challenge the clearly best team in the AFL this year.

I guess Martin will be doing his usual 50% game time as a mid.

Yep. Dow's best game for a long time last week. Deserved to keep his spot.

Maybe Dow will come in for Motlop? Seems we have 1 too many small forwards with Fogarty Owies Motlop named.

Docherty will be the extra mid. Possibly to play Walsh' role. He's been named H/B but Cincotta and Marchbank will be the 6th and 7th defenders.
Dow will probably come in if Cripps doesn't come up. It's disappointing to see him out of the side but who do you drop for him? The balance of the side looks OK.
Bobby Hill out is a bonus.

I'll still be nervous if we're 70 up with 10 seconds to go.

i'm always nervous these days. i have to try and just avoid this at all costs

pitto has to learn from jack and try and have a presence around the ground. its been noticeable how hard sos and tdk, and also young hav worked around the ground in pitto's absence.

he cant just ruck and then disappear

A stronger team than I thought, if all those listed do actually play.

Fingers crossed this is not the week to forget the lessons of the past 5 weeks.

As long as all 23 are fit - and we’re not playing ducks and drakes I am sure we’ll give a good account of ourselves.

I will spew up however if we have any late withdrawals.

I am too.

It was his position because he’s shown more than all the other small forwards.

Motlop a close second only because of his game vs Port.

I wasn’t thrilled in Motlop last game, but his 2 goals count for something.

Owies brings more of the physical stuff our teams ethos is based on IMO

Very true

I will say that for me attitude is everything and the way we are now running and tackling in numbers makes a big difference. Our defence is very good. Pies should be favourites but they have been up for a while and I believe if we bring the effort we did against Port we are a real chance

with our injuries, all the effort in the world would not bridge that gap. pies will suffocate us, and win by 6 goals.

Rubbish! They only beat us by 4 goals earlier this year when we were playing terrible footy and just bombing it long for Moore to pick us off.

The way we have been playing over the past 5 weeks is better than anything we saw in 2022 when we lost by a kick to them each time.

We are in this right up to our necks, regardless of our injuries. Bring the pressure and no doubt we can come away with a victory.

But maybe that was an off performance from them.

That’s an easy throw away line.
What is fact, is we were in the middle of a losing streak, and wasteful rut.
We bombed it without thought to Moore who took a record 15 intercepts, am
Nd Sidebottom laughed at us kicking the ball to him.
We were wasteful.
You don’t believe it?
We lost by under 5 goals but we had more shots at goal, had more disposals, more clearances…we were wasteful.

Charlie and Harry missed easy shots. We were wasteful.

You better believe our system is better today than then, and they continue the same game winning tight games.

goes for most of our HF and HB flankers. wall of (sound) mids is the new black.

Hope we put up a good performance and like the team given the injuries we have
Carringbush have only one injury Fin McCrae who hasnt played s senior match this year - unbelievable
Having said that there will be 50,000 ferals there tonight supporting the Bush but how good again is that we are playing in huge matches at the MCG with more than 85,000 fans
Playing in a match in late july with that many people attending not just the first round against Richmond where hope springs eternal is where we want to be
Imagine if we do make the finals fingers crossed and play a bifg final in melbourne

Not sure what to expect tonight, just hope we turn up and play our part in a great game of football.
Lining up at 3.30 to get into the members, keen but not totally confident, I guess that is the way when we are playing the top team.
Good luck blues!
