Is it possible that the Photoshop experts can paste the jumpers onto a player to see how they look?

And remove that AFL logo?

OK, I've been thinking about this.

A lot.

And I've changed my opinion.

I know. Shocking.

Here's the thing: We're going to be forced to have a jumper for "clash" matches, of which there are perhaps 4 in a season.

I think IF we have to produce one - and it looks like we will - then we have to make it totally different.

I mean TOTALLY.

Hell, let's go for a deep orange jumper with navy blue monogram and number, navy blue shorts with orange detail. The monogram has to be bigger and bolder, more in the style of the 1927-1997 one, but bigger again. But not huuuuuuge like the massive one.

Can someone mock that up for me?

Come on, slackers, we've seen the suggested ones by others.

SOMEONE MOCK MY ONE UP!!

NOW!

No offence.....but I hate this thing.

I think the first condition of any alternate guernsey is that the monogram stays untouched....same size....same colour....white!!

This would be the basis of my choice, maybe trying to put some blue panels down the sides

I really like the third one Brad, but I'm not sure how keen Optus will be to have their sponsored team wearing Telstra's colours...

I dont mind the jumper shown above. Still has the navy blue, not too different to our original jumper but different enough to stop any clashes with opposition jumpers.

Is it not enough to change the sponsor logo to their colour? Its a good point you make though.

personally I'd be in favour of the white version

Where's the one I suggested?

Where's the "KK"?

Did you have the crack before or after you Photoshopped?

And for Arrested Development fans: That pic above - "Steve Holt!!"

The "Jarusa jumper" reminds me too much of a Geelong jumper when its put on a player.

Big fan of the silver but with a white monogram.

Cheers! :-D

I appreciate Jarusa making one up, but I figured a jumper with an enlarged CFC dominating the jumper wouldn't too good on a player. The bottom two look terrific on the man but I think we should go back to an away jumper with orange in it. The two colours actually sit well together.

Here are some mock-ups by Waity on CSC.

It's very big of Collingwood to offer to change from white stripes on a black jumper to black stripes on a white jumper. Maybe we should offer to wear white shorts with our Navy jumper when we play away!!

An old article and the game is really in good hands! :garthp:

The Age - May 22 2005
Quote:
"We've consistently encouraged the clubs to adopt alternative guernseys to help prevent on-field clashes, hoping that the matter could be resolved without the need to mandate it," AFL football operations manager Adrian Anderson said last week.

"We would like to see a clear differentiation between the jumpers on field in all matches. We've urged all clubs to go down that path, and if that remains unsuccessful, we might have to take action there."

Quote:
Should Carlton wish to submit a proposed clash strip for next season, it would need to do so within 10 days, as the AFL's annual cut-off point is May 31, although the league remains flexible on considering submissions after that date.

The rejected design.

Not sure about the pink. :o I used to get enough flack for wearing fluoro bike shorts. If I wore a guernsey like that, people would seriously wonder.

Now, the orange ......
