"Damien Hardwick has said he will likely return to coaching, just weeks after his shock decision to leave the Tigers, but said he needed more time before he signed on with another club."

“I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t see myself doing it,” Hardwick told the Dyl and Friends podcast, published on Monday. “I miss it ... At some stage, I’ll probably step back in. When that is, I’m not too sure.”

There will be a few nervous coaches right now.

What a flower of a person. Runs from a club he has now destroyed and will go into rebuild mode for the next 5 years and then seriously, couldn't wait to announce to any imbecile club that he wants back in ASAP after a month. Spare me you flower.

Don’t be blindsided. He wasn’t the architect of the Richmond game plan. When he lost his weapons, he was floundering. Wouldn’t surprise me if we did a Malthouse though........that’s us!

I'm not saying I want him at our club, just found it odd you said his club was "destroyed and will go into rebuild mode for the next 5 years" when that seems a very mild price to pay for 3-in-4.

Richmond’s list is old and needs refreshing. Evident last year but he sold the next 2 draft years on Taranto and Hopper. Richmond have no top end picks now, so they either need to get crafty or are in trouble for a couple of years before they can get some currency to hit the draft. By that time Tassie will be getting concessions. They could be in the wilderness for a very, very, very long time.
That’s all to do with a man that ran because of exhaustion but after a month is now thinking he’s ready to go again. Right!

What an idiot!

If he wanted extended time off, he should’ve committed a hate crime when the flags were rolling in.

My spidey senses say he's already got a gig lined up and that leaving Richmond early was as much about the management of the optics, rather than running out of ways to cook snags.

NFI what club, could be us, could be the Suns, Eagles, or whoever. Even Port Adelaide maybe, seeing as Port is hellbent on making no decision on Kenny until late August.

He does love Adelaide (the city) so Port is a definite possibility.
As for saying he destroyed a club that was nothing more than a laughing stock for 30+ years and the then went on to coach to 3 flags in 4 years, well all I can say is, we can't legislate against extreme stupidity.

noted. i’m on iOS.

the developers probably develop on windows and port it to iOS using some dodgy shim code. it’s been consistently unreliable for years for me, both versions of the app (why they have two versions on the iPhone store i have no idea, IIRC the one i don’t use anymore is even worse).

Damien hardstick is an absolute clown. Just wondering if more of a mofo than alistair farquarson. They both suck. Unfortunately both have coached multiple flags. Yardstick wins only cause he won a flag playing and farquar couldn't cut it as a player and be anything more than a mighty mouse (mental welness) thug

Yep 2000* and 2004.

Whilst not advocating we get him as coach, I do have a laugh when some posters say we don't Hardwick, he's a flower. We don't want Clarko, he's a flower.
Then the next post from the same very posters - we need more flower in the club. Everyone is too nice.

Maybe some poster taking pot shots at posters and not adding much to the discussion should understand the logic of wanting a player with a bit of mongrel and not a player or coach who is a d1ckh3@d.
