Durdin I think has a future but needs to get better forward craft only young and we need to perserve with atm

Durdin is younger and needs games. Has ability

Cottrell has good skills and is an elite runner. So is O'Brien. Based on that he should be a good player. Issue is (and why he wasn't drafted) is he doesn't find the ball enough, especially for his running ability. In 40 games only 3 times has he got more than 20 possessions. That is poor for a winger, running plaper. Very poor.

I hope he makes it and learns to find the ball more but at the moment we have way to many players that don't contribute enough

Cotters I think needs to be given run with roles on the oppositions gun outside gut runner. He has an incredible tank and good speed and the discipline to do the job. Then his lack of possession numbers won't matter so much as his value will be in minimising that opponent - and just maybe he gets lead to the ball often enough his possession numbers will grow anyway.

Yes , for sure . As Ed is near the end of his career i think Cotters would be a perfect understudy for all the qualities you have mentioned Ian .

At least they're newer looking deckchairs!

Who knows, Cunningham (if considered as a deckchair) might even have a flotation device attached to the seat, so as the ship sinks at least he survives.

And Dow...at least you have to admire his courage. He has gone through a minefield and still survived. I don't know how they got from the North Atlantic to the Somme, but you get the picture.

Bombers know how to score.
They win on this note alone.

Hopefully they’re too stoned to play after they score….

If there is one good reason to win this game it is to win it for Adam Saad . Can you see those self righteous sanctimonious holier than thou goodie goodie two shoes scum squirming if Adam turns it on and plays a blinder .

I think I’ll be physically sick when we lose to this pack of self satisfying pricks.

this has to be a line in the sand game surely? why can't voss and Co revert back to the physically brutal style of play and just bludgeon these sashed up clowns like we did last year?

You can't beat these Pricks every time but this will be a shocking end to the weekend (for those not observing kings birthday). Looks like weather will be ok enough so there goes that excuse

Haven't we had a bunch of line in the sand games already?

I think we misunderstand the line in the sand games - it is not about sticking your head in the sand and hoping all ends well.

all the hype aside, this is a true line in the sand game.

a true "8-point" game
hated rival

we suck, and they're up and flying.
people within carlton wanted scott, not voss to coach us.

we can play and our list is good. take off the handbrake, and even if it's for one game. wheel out that brutal, violent gamestyle that we employed last year. beat them and bash them.

so many of our lean years - like 2012... the season was an absolute shitshow. but smashing the dons on a saturday arvy (by what? nearly a hundred points??) somehow made the season bearable and not so bad.

give us (the fans and members) something for this year...

Have agreed to go to this game and have no idea why.

Mark Robinson's mate, Sam McLure has been encouraged to suggest that he believes, or he's looking for click bait when he reports:

Quote:
Blues coach Michael Voss is “coaching for his career” at the club as “factions” have started to appear within the playing group, according to Nine journalist Sam McClure.

Factions? That is plural. Lets see what he reports:

Quote:
Despite the mounting pressure at Ikon Park, McClure believes it’d be “unrealistic” and “unfair” to say Voss will only keep his position if Carlton makes finals.

However he claims it’s important for the Blues to adjust their game plan and improve their scoring woes.

“They certainly have to show that they are willing to score and play in a different way to what they are at the moment,” McClure added.

“There are lots of players who truly believe Michael Voss can get them out of this and that Michael Voss is the man. But there is at least one situation I know of inside the Carlton dressing room between a couple of players which has caused issues in the team.

“There are still senior people who are restless at the lack of development at Carlton ... they need to win games and they need to start scoring.”

It comes ahead of Carlton’s must-win MCG showdown against arch rival Essendon*, who’ve soared up the ladder under new coach Brad Scott to currently occupy sixth place.

McClure suggested another loss to the Blues would be even more damning considering Scott was available when they signed Voss.

“If they are well beaten against Essendon* on Sunday night by the man who they probably should have got to coach in many people’s eyes — and that is Brad Scott, who was available to them before he went to Essendon* — it will symbolic of not just how Essendon* have gone forward, but in fact how Carlton have gone backwards,” he said.

One situation, I'm not surprised. That's normal. That one situation possibly has to do with the non selection of Dow, possibly, Fogarty, and maybe OBrien types. Making a mountain from a Mole Hill Sammy boy. Why don't you name them? or, give the names to robbo, and he will gladly name them after Thursday nights selections, or Fridays final selections.

Cripps will get tagged. He needs to show some strength and mongrel. More than what he did against the Dees.
The Carlton mids will have Hewett back, and he needs to step up and hit those prix hard.

We have to win this...choke them defensively, and let fly in a synchronised manner to score. Its scores and exciting footy Vossy and the team have to reintroduce to the supporters.

Hansen, Hamill, Clark...spotlight is clearly on you this weekend. Lets see what you're minds are made of.

COME ON BLues. Effedropes want to bang a nail in your coffin.

There's always peripheral players who are upset with their non selection. Big deal. We have 4 points to win, not stroke players with shortfalls in their game

We can't draw a line in the sand because our house is on it.
