I reckon incorporate the traditional 'orange' colour.

Agree it's a good idea and overdue.

Well, this is hardly a surprise.

What is disappointing, IMO, is that we have been left behind again, and made to do something at the AFL's behest instead of taking the initiative ourselves.

I would like to see something along the lines of how they do it in the UK Premier League
http://www.interactive-marketing.net/BW ... logue.html
http://www.sportinglife.com/pictures/ge ... lovdiv.jpg

This is the Bolton awawy strip
I would change the following

One colour for the Front and Back (Navy Blueish/Greyish Silver) Petrol Colour.
Arms/Side (Silver/Grey) or minus the arms with the sides in silver
And replacing the 5 silver strips with stripes the same thickness to represent goals (with a raised CFC logo in the middle of the goals)

This would make it a lot more marketable.

Hey Humpy,

Considering that we are going to be forced to have an alternative/alternate/clash/away strip, I believe that we should be proactive rather than the usual reactive. In other words why not run an online competition over all the Carlton forums to come up with say 5 different strips and then conduct a poll for the favourite strip. I would also suggest that the club is kept informed of both the competition and the poll. Even better maybe those of you with connections down there might get the club to agree to support this process and advertise on the official site for people to go online and vote. This way we will get the consensus of thousands of people and end up with a great second strip. The club also will be able to lodge our design with the AFL before other clubs who are resisting the change. 8)

I am happy to get the ball rolling if someone volunteers to work with the club. I am a regular on TC, TBV and CSC. I am also the same username on all 3 forums. Maybe one of you could get BF involved as well.

We need one of you techno boffins to post the suggested designs once submitted. What do you guys think?

Good idea about a poll on the official site but do you think they'll let the fans decide?

I'dve thought an alternative guersney would have to incorporate a different colour from the traditional guernsey.

How about the current yellow training jumpers with the DAN MURPHY's logo and the CFC logo swapping positions and the CFC logo a bit bigger?
We could wear navy blue shorts & socks with it.

Wonder how that would look??

If the problem is the colours, and we're the Navy Blues, we're going to be forced to go with some pathetic coloured embarrassment with the white monogram.

My guess is it will make the M&M jumper look tame.

How can the AFL force this stupidity on us, when they've allowed other teams to change their colours to the point where the clashes have occurred?

Pathetic money-grubbing in the name of "progress".

i think white or silver should be the dominant colours, as it is a 'clash' strip and it needs to be different from the regular navy. maybe a similar design to the new white polos that they have at the carlton shop? (seen on cfc site)

Nice attempt. 003 looks a bit too close to East Freo and 005 is a bit too close to the Eagles for my tastes.

Nice to see some drafts though, keep up the good work :)

Cant believe some of you guys actually want to go along with those money driven marketing scumbags.I say good on Eddie. If there is one thing worth preserving it is your heritage. We have by far,the most distinct and PROUD looking jumper in the comp.It is our magnificent jumper that makes it so irrisistable to follow.Any talk of changing it is as bad as treason.NO EFFEN WAY.............first time in my life i have supported anything Collingwood, but top marks to Magiure for having the guts to stand up to those blackmailing germs at AFL house.Fancy being dictated to by Evans,Demetriou and his lickspittle Anderson.Tell em' to go eff themselves.

I'd go with Mrs. Caz's one but have navy blue where the orange is, silver where the navy blue is & the navy blue monogram.
