Collingwood have this excellent synergy. Know where their teammates will be, how to not commit too many to the contest, when to run and when to defend.

Carlton are the complete opposite. General confusion leading to countless rushed/dump kicks.

Remember that the list Collingwood had when Buckley left the club is not that different to what Macrae inherited.

Not sure what is going on at Carlton but it is pretty clear that Voss is not a coach for us

He's definitely not our next premiership coach. I think everyone (including him) can see that.

The question is, how do we do this. And when. And with whom next?

You do it now, why would you wait?

Who’s next….what’s Ken Hinkley doing next year? He seems to get the best from his sides

Voss has lost the plot.

He says the main thing to fix is defense

Um we held tham to 79
I'd have thought that's good

And the stats were very similar
I50s almost identical
Clearances similar

But the efficiency going forward was the big difference
As evidenced by the goals vs behinds kicked by each team
And by the fact Coll shared their I50 marks whereas we didn't

We are 11th now

In our last 6 games we won just 1 game against WC

How many players have improved since R10 last year?
Maybe Newman.
That's about it.
And Charlie

For a bloke that is getting paid rookie senior coach wages that's a pretty good question.

Vossy starting to look pissed off.
Showing signs of the last half dozen coaches.

We are not very good and completely lost all confidence.
The worst part is no one is knocking on the door to come in.

I think they erred when they only brought in Acres in off season.
Most team who are up the top bring in 2 or 3.
We have had so many trades bite us on the arse in recent years I think they were reluctant.
But last year the team improved through Hewett and Cerra they needed to do that again.

Buckley had them up playing finals and grand finals apart from his final year when injury and tiredness of the message kicked in. Macrae got a a good list and got some clever picks right and N. Daicos.

I dont think Voss is our man though.

We have lost 4, maybe 5, games doing identical things. That is gameplan.

Every loss identical.

Off the pace early. Back our long kicks down the line to bring us back, fail, turn it over time and time again and watch as teams just wait for the inevitable.

Then we adjust late when we are 6+ goals down, close the gap to 20 something or less, and think we've done enough.

This is gameplan, this is confidence, this is above the shoulders, this is awful execution.

Coaching is not the only factor. But it's a huge factor. I really doubt Voss is up to it.

Collingwood players are in a happy headspace

Our players look miserable

Nothing to do with the list or rebuilds etc.

So many issues that I don’t think you could pin point one reason why this rebuild has been so bad

I think a lot of these issues stem from the beginning of the rebuild

In my view, the Bolton years were a disaster for this club. Wasted early draft picks, built no cohesion in our game plan, poor player development, loser mentality. A good club would have been peaking and contending by now.

So I think it’s simplistic to only blame Voss for our woes. Unfortunately, there is a lot more to it.

Brad Lloyd needs to go as head of footy. Too many issues in the footy department - players, coaching, list management, strength and conditioning. Replace him with an experienced operator who can look at all those areas with fresh eyes and make calls to rectify issues.

Come on, they’ve done a great job.

We’ve been restored to the laughing stock of the AFL.
