Hewitt as a sub makes no sense why deplete out midfield.
Prefer Dow as a sub he would add a bit of reckless spark to our Vanilla midfield.
Boyd and cincotta both not up to it yet so whatever I guess. For the record I’d prefer Cincotta

Makes more sense than naming a ruckman as Sub

Also why are we naming our sub 2 days out?

I just got on TC after a very fantastic day.
I read your post first off the rank after reading final selections.
I wouldnt have agreed with you today, but right now, I see and like your proposition.
Maybe its because I know Dow isnt selected.

Big decision about Hewett.
I love what Hewett has brought to the team every game this year, even the Crows game, where scapegoats were aplenty.

But rotating Kennedy, Hewett, Cripps, Cerra... is a privilege, not a curse. If you're 23rd, you're IN!.

Let's be honest, Hewett has been well down on his form from last season.

Surely Ed won't tag Daicos and maybe go to someone slower, the old bait and switch? Lol

I'd send him to Crisp if he has to play.

Hewitt to have a turn in the Kennedy/Ed Sub role?

Boyd for Hollands ? Could be (especially if Hollands was subbed due to a niggle)… i guess we get a better idea of set-ups tomorrow night... Can't quite see the logic with the ins now

OMG... Club29 you were on the money....

My suggestion was out of necessity.... Not because I thought that's where our problem lies.... I hope Boyd tears it up, but seems he is replacing someone who was going well I thought.
Still not sure what Ed's role will be, but I'm watching live at the G for the first time in a month, so looking forward to it

My fear is that this game will come down to:

'we hope we can win' vs 'they're sure they can win'...

That was the difference last week (and last year for that matter)

OK, I will be honest.

Hewett has played a 'good' game every game this year, imo.
He's not the problem, like Kennedy isnt the 'problem'. They are in the 23. Get use to it.
If Hewett is a 'scapegoat' for some, well they should be honest if they are being that person.

Just kiddin' Trav, you left yourself open, but I do believe what I just posted in Hewett's favour.
He's one of our best mids. But I like to keep them hungry to be named in the 22.

Ive been down this track before.

A few opponents catch a cold and they cant play.
One is a playing, but a sub to manage workloads
Then miraculously they do play, or,
they don't play and they are under the pump, almost underdog.

Then we think, This is our best chance.

Did I mention I've been down this path recently.

Profound Billy boy III

But this week is a new week, with a difference to last week, but the same.
Hang on, that's how I felt last week.

I hope we can win.

I'm really happy with the squad of 23.

BEST SQUAD OF THE YEAR!

Farmer Blue knew it was only time Boydy would be recalled.

Other than Cuningham coming back, Marchbank, Martin and Cowan who are a work in progress, we are at full strength.

Form of Marchbank, Martin, DeKoning, Cincotta LOB, Kemp, Cowan and Fisher, is the only thing stopping them getting a look in the 23.

NO EXCUSES!

Hewett would chew him up.

Is a great tagger, and wins his fair share the other way.
I loved him at the Swans, and loved him last year....as a player, and today too.

Just not sure how that has an impact as a sub?

Mind you I'm happy to see..... rather than needing him early due to injury

Fitness is always a factor Mickstar. 10 rounds in...there's sore spots every week...and every day!

Reckon dropping Cincotta is the easy way out, as was dropping Kemp last week.

I’ve loved Ed’s career but it’s over.

To win the players would have to play for the coach and for each other, I’ve seen nothing to suggest they will

I guess I’d Prefer 90 minutes of Hewitt not 25-30.
have to back the MC but I honestly don’t think adding Dow into the mix would be as detrimental as everyone thinks. With current form he’s earned a 5-7 game stint.

Does anyone who regularly watches the VFL think Dow deserves to play? Asking as someone who doesn't watch the VFL.

I've read a few posts this year suggesting that he still just throws the ball on the boot and doesn't put much thought into his disposal.

Is it fair to conclude that he's a flat track bully? Dominates at VFL level without trying, but can't take the heat at AFL level?

If we do bring him back to the AFL, it might be smart to do it when we have a soft run of games to ease him into it. I reckon it would've been a disaster if we brought him back this week.
