I blame wokeism, and not the fact we have largely been garbage in 6 of the past 7 seasons.

I will be interested to see if the team is given at least a partial license to run and take the game on.

We all know the rest of the competition has figured our chip, bomb it long game. Mix it up and leave them guessing. We have Saad, Cincotta, Doc, Newman rotating and McGovern and Kemp as mobile semi talls. With Acres and Hollands on the wings, there is no excuse for a bit of run and carry out of defence.

It will help the forwards for sure.

Damn just found out its our so called "respect" round. Dammit, now i gotta go change all my tips to a loss, instead of the win i originally selected (i never usually tip against carlton, but this is bullshit so doing in protest. And common sense as we will lose 100% now.
Carlton is a footy club, i wish they would focus on footy and training (maybee give harry some extra goal kicking practice instead of friggin stupin virtue signalling. I really despise carlton doing this every year at expense of winning the game.. starting to make me spitefull of this stupid cause actually. If they actually won the bloody game once in a while i might think differently, but they dont, so this is my feel. I remember last year we lost, and j degoey was all over the news being disrespectful to women, he played, they won their game, and we we left looking like respectful to women losers having a loss, but no caring, cos at least we expressed how we respect women.. LOL

Yeah, I think this and other ‘hoodoos’ are more about our recent shitness than anything else.
Also, while I am the most anti-woke person, I don’t reckon the respect women thing is a woke thing. Lots of other things the AFL does, definitely. But to me this is fine, esp the week before Mother’s Day. (If the AFL changed it to ‘Chest-feeding person day’ or ‘Parents and Carers Day’ or had that Mulvaney person promoting it, well then yeah…)

Anyway, we smashed a few hoodoos last season incl Giants Stadium. We can beat this one on Fri night!

Someone on SEN pointed out that the Cats needed an "easy" game vs the Hawks to get things going after a sluggish start and have now clicked.

Not comparing us to Geelong, but hopefully the same occurs for us.

This was discussed prior to the WCE game on this forum.

We needed to build synergy and for something to click.

Saad and Docherty gave us speed and direction.
Cincotta is a beauty and adds speed and good disposal.

We used the corridor more, not because the WCE were poor but because we moved the ball quickly, like we can.
The forward line tactics worked brilliantly giving Charlie one on one battle and space to work in.
The open forward line created options for another 11 goal kickers.

It clicked. It clicked against a weak team that gave us a chance to take risks and as a london blue mentioned "dare", and prove to us what is capable for 4 quarters.

This week we can look forward to putting in the same effort for 4 quarters against a stronger team who will put heaps more pressure on us. Just what we need.

Right on Teddy.
Good reason to take a similar approach to this game as we did last week.
I loved the speed and the dare going through the corridor.
I dont think Lions will make it easy for us, but at least we dont have to be predictable as you say.

We have our chance, this week.
We just have to take it.

Rich and Zorko out is a huge advantage to us.
Playing in the Dome, with our home town support ...

We should get this monkey off our back, and next year we get the Adelaide Oval monkey off our back.
