I'm sure Bondi doesn't need your muscle. He's a stirrer from way back and can take care of himself.

You miss the point. Not here to protect Bondi. I take offence at personal attacks

Good onya London. You’re spot on.

The personal attacks and terrible language directed at posters has been a bit rich of late, and for some it’s an obsession. It doesn’t add anything to this forum. In fact it spoils it.

It’s a footy forum. All posts should only focus on football, and a bit of light hearted fun is welcome. I’m not sure why it’s happening, and it’s the same few posters who can’t control themselves, probably because of the anonymity behind a keyboard. Nothing to do with football.

Every poster on this site knows their footy and passionate about Carlton. They all probably played the game and followed the game for decades. Some know more about the intricacies of the modern game more than others. We come here to share our thoughts and learn what other like minded Carlton tragics think.

I come to TC to enjoy it with my blue brethren. Many times of late I’ve logged off feeling disgusted and saddened by my blue brethren. I don’t hate. Sadly I don’t think that’s the case for some posters. How I deal with it is to believe they are really nice people at home and if I met them.

Geez , i hope you have your hardhat on Bond ............................ just on this locker room stuff . Football Club locker rooms are like womens hair dressing salons . Bitchiness , gossip , etc etc par for the course , and thats when your side is doing well . Goes back to when Jesus lined up at full forward for Jerusalem . AFL , VFL , local footy , the ammo's , junior footy , you name it its been going on since Adam was a boy .................. not bullshitting , i was at an under 9's , yes under 9's grand final last year and there was nearly an all in coz a few parents were pissed off coz little Johnny wasn't getting a fair run . Me 'ol mate Chesty Bondi , i bet you could tell a hundred similar stories . The intrigue of the locker room is a football institution and it will be here forever . Funny , the chief offenders always fade away . Funny , in the junior football days it was mostly fuelled by parents whose kid was about half as good as they thought they were .

Things can change very very quickly with confidence, and returning players creating competition for spots.

No Rich/Zorko, Marvel in front of a packed house (no GA tickets left for non-members).

No time like the present to step up to the plate and set up our season.

Little bit confident, its here (not up there) its after we have had a strong showing and I think the boys will want to build on that. My guess, a really tough, hard match, both sides throwing kitchen sinks around like water balloons but we come out on top because we want it more - in the end I think this season may be defined by just how much this group wants it, or the right mix of players wanting so much they drag some others along.

Blues by 17 points! McKay bags 4. Doc BOG.

Someone on SEN pointed out that the Cats needed an "easy" game vs the Hawks to get things going after a sluggish start and have now clicked.

Not comparing us to Geelong, but hopefully the same occurs for us.

Do you know what ...

If anyone isnt giving their everything this week, in doc 150th, show them the door.

If you need more inspiration that this gentleman provides, show them the door.

This will be a tough game, and we could give everything and lose,

But that is the only acceptable result.

Give everything,

And show doc the respect he deserves.

Haha. I dont need hard hats. Im not a stirrer as suggested, not on forums about footy, but love a bit of fun.

I just got back from Footy Carnival in the Riverina.
4 teams consisting of 22 boys, their parents and friends, represented all corners of NSW.
The state team to be selected. Recruiters are around.
Well, as for the parents, they were spruiking from the boundary, and in the face of selectors.
I tolerated it. No one bothered me. Great coupla days of good footballers.
Unreal to see a team put together one morning, a couple new each other from Academies.
Good footballers create good football. The talent coming out of Sydney now matches and and today beat the border teams clubs in Aussie Rules heartland.

I was staying at my mates pub up in Palm Cove 20 years ago, and saw the GF go off between Port Douglas nd Cairns, and was in the middle of the 1982 Rye Seaford Grand Final which spilled into the crowd.

But the bullies who hide behind keyboards, and make personal attacks on Carlton footy players and the tragically addicted Carlton posters without civil explanation, well they are just predators for reaction, or just prix. I'm actually not a stirrer, as that poster suggested, well in real life I am, I'm here for footy and I will get that no matter what. There's some good heads on this forum, and the nasty ones can ... hopefully fade away and barrack for another team.

back to footy

No love for Honey. Now you're rubbing it into me and the player.
The player is innocent, Voss just picks him for no reason.
Gotta squeeze him into your teams.
Hey look, there's a spot on the Reserves bench, you've only named three.
It happens to the best of us

Bigger game for us than them. Of course it's all relative.

Hopefully Pitto and the mids can hold their own. If so then we are a chance.

That said I can't believe we are favourites.
