3 changes after a 100+ point win? I wouldn't have thought so.

Maybe, Maybe Not

I thought Honey Fisher and Ed were average in a good side (and have been for a few weeks) and Hollands will get a rest like Cowan did this week. Fisher may stay if Owies not ready. Better, regular Best 22 players are also coming back. We are playing Brisbane in Brisbane. It's a whole new ball game

Cottrell TDK LOB Dow Binns also played well yesterday and are pushing for spots as well

Finally we have some options

Not playing in Brisbane. Marvel on Friday night.

I reckon Cowan was dropped.
I haven’t seen a glimpse of Cowans running game and ability to break lines. He looked tired and struggling. His kicking hasn’t featured either except for that one 60m kick to Harry 5 weeks ago.

Holland hasn’t shown fatigue. He’s still running 15km per game. He’s a natural. Halves contests, closes space…does what we need a wing to do.

He will be dropped when…if…his game drops. So far so good.

Voss has made it clear a couple times Honey replaced the injured Owies, like for like.

What’s Fishers role? I reckon he is on thin ice.

With Chinky and Kemp doing well, I can’t either of them, let alone Saad Newman Doc making way for Boyd. We already have 8 defenders. Doc plays both mid and Defence.

I can’t see so many changes either after a 100 point win.

Cowan was a planned rest and went home to Tasmania

No one has said Hollands will be dropped. It's just that they will rest him at some stage. Could be this week

Going to be tough….

lets not under estimate the Brions….!

can’t rely on their…”away from home” or “players out”
issues…!

they are a very good team…!

Blues have got no respect from the Saturday game…
need to earn it Friday night…!

kindest regards tommi

We all know the usual suspects will be out in force if we lose blaming the woke left etc.

We really should have worn the jersey at West Coast. Might have escaped with an honourable 15-point loss :D

Ed stays on notice… he might even benefit from the extra size (still hard to believe the change in body shape) & speed that Cottrell brings to the role.

Is Cottrell bigger this year?

He’s done a reverse-Massie since the draft.

He’d be a couple of inches taller & a couple stone heavier since walking through the doors.

Have you heard they will rest him or some think Hollands will be rested? Even if he isn’t showing signs of fatigue?

I find it hard to believe Hollands will be rested if he’s still running out games.

Cowan’s planned rest … is a rest, if he comes straight back into the team after his rest. If he isn’t named this week, he was dropped no matter how they spin it. Cowan has shown to be tiring and not taking the game on imo

Told he will be rested at some stage

I'm just reading between the lines and with Cottrell Boyd Cowan Fogarty Motlop Owies available and Binns O'Brien playing well available it's a good time

Interesting Hollands had 9 possessions in the first half and only 3 in the second half on Saturday night

Cincotta does look better than Cowan right now. I am sure that wont be the case in a couple of years.

What I like is depth and options. IMO both will be very good. Kemp as well. Then we have Boyd who is back who I rate.

Allows Docherty to play up ground which we need. Even when Williams come back he can play Wing or Mid if needed. Makes us better

The curse of the orange socks. Only thing more detrimental to success is a TC Player sponsorship.

The thing about resting him is that there’s a huge game coming up against the filth. The kid bleeds navy & there’s a risk of letting too much air out of the balloon if he’s not out there.

Brisbane, Doggies, Filth. Three VERY good transition sides, all hands on deck.

Four day turnaround to Sydney in Sydney. That might be the right window for a freshen up.

He’s not a sulker, but it’s such a massive carrot…

:) if progressive symbolism is so detrimental to the team, maybe we see if the opposite is true? Perhaps some socks with a black upper, red lower and a big yellow NO in the centre? How about an "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" warmup jersey?

Nothing against the job that Hollands is doing, but we’ve got this game, then Doggies under the roof, then the filth on the big stage with an extra short turnaround to Sydney in Sydney. Give him a freshen up this week, then straight back in for Dogs (sub maybe) with the aim to have him primed for 90k at the G.

Honey holds his place with Owies needing the run.

I like Kennedy as the sub… I like him more in the starting 18, but he’s a great option to break the deadlock when the arm wrestle starts in the second half. He’s the sort of player that can go off for 15 touches & 6-7 clearances in a quarter.

Blues by 16… goals.

How does Motlop win an auto return?

I don’t get it either. All you have to do is read the post match opinions of Motlop last 2 gan
Mes to know he was losing traction …ie form.

Fisher, I get. Underdone Cottrell for out of form Fisher. But Motlop? For Hollands. Form player for an out of form player. No thanks.

Voss rates him highly and he is on talent the best small forward we have. Still young and will be inconsistent. I reckon they will bring him straight in

While he's been quieter in his last two games his form over the first four games have been very good for a forward pocket. He averaged 13 possessions (1 less that Hollands who is supposedly a high possession winger) with 16 tackles over his last six games. And his form in his debut year was also quite impressive - last 12 games of the year, kicked a goal a game (nominated for goal of the year); averages over 2 tackles a game (rated 15 in the comp for tackles in forward fifty). So 18 good games in a row, gets suspended 1 game, and now the mob want him dropped while spilling tears over an suggestions that Hollands may need a rest. Motlop is just as talented and just as important to our future as Hollands is.

Imagine if we wore the orange socks at the Adelaide Oval, this place would lose its mind.

Maybe we should. They are both locked in losses so let's take one out of the equation.

Now the orange socks have appeared I am marking it down as a loss
