Agree. I'm a fan of his but needs to find the footy.

Given tonight selection will be very interesting

Motlop Boyd TDK Cowan Owies Kennedy Cottrell all available. Hollands may well be managed this week

We are getting close to our best side and IMO it can beat anyone

We are getting close. Cottrell Owies Martin and maybe Marchy to add and Boyd is irresistible but Cincotta looks like he belongs.

Motlop was out of form before the suspension. Needs to find the footy in twos.

Boyd kicked well at times yesterday but a bit rusty and fumbled a bit. Didn’t set world on fire but I said the same about Kemp. TBH I’m worried about Kemp vs the heat the Lions bring. Boyd needs to find touch in resizes.

I’ve got no idea why anyone thinks Hollands needs a rest other than to see someone else. He is a running machine and doesn’t stop. He doesn’t deserve to be dropped or whatever you want to call it. Haute it this way, he isnt labouring.

Cottrell clicked in the last qtr in reserves. He was the only showing AFL class in the VFL imo. Wouldn’t have a problem if he is selected. A half fit Cottrell would be more useful than Fisher.

Owies replaces Honey if and when ready.

Bring on the Lions. We are primed for them with or without any changes.

I wouldn't drop Honey unless we're bringing in someone with leg speed. So basically Cottrell in or Honey stays. I'd replace fish with bambam and have Cotters has sub if he's ready, otherwise... deep breath... Paddy D- nah just kidding, it's Lochie O'Brien :D

I like that

Maybe Hollands sub-(semi managed)...the kid just seems to run all day?

Depending on how many minutes he gets, he'll either be fully managed or subbed again (semi managed) the following week

He's a good sub as he can play central mid, wing or HF and will have genuine fresh and speedy legs

Feel for Dow. I’m sure Cottrell after one average game deserves a call up though.

Probably no change this week, but - depending on match ups - I would be tempted to bring Kennedy into the 22 for a defender (ie. the same way we lined up in the last quarter against WCE). Kemp or Cincotta as sub, in that event.

Owies is a better option than Honey, but I think Owies might need to come back via the VFL. It won’t kill Motlop to work his way back into the team via the VFL, so I reckon Honey keeps his spot for another week.

Not sure if it’s this week, but at some point Hollands might need a rest. It’s a long season. Unless he’s really sore, I’d keep going with him until Cottrell is ready to return. Cottrell worked his way into the VFL game nicely yesterday, but he’s missed a lot of footy so I wouldn’t be rushing him in just yet.

No we need to keep Cincotta and Kemp in. More Doch further up the ground and you can leave those two in.

Motlop for Honey.
Kennedy for Ed. Ed the sub i reckon.
Owies if fit for Fisher. Hollands stays in as he has a dip. Fisher is putrid at the moment. Needs to go back to vfl to dominate and get some confidence back.

I want Cottrel in but he needs some run in his legs first.

Agree.

With Kemp looking good in defence could we play McGovern as a wingman ala Mason Wood? He’s mobile, good kick, excellent mark and can push forward or back to help. Tall wingman that can do this like Wood Acres Lukosius are Gold

Boyd is in my best 22. Hope it works out that way.

You obviously thought Boyd was ripe and played well yesterday Farmer.

Had a dozen kicks 7 handballs.

Gave away 2 50 metre penalties and cost us a few goals.

That kick across the ground in the first that didnt make the distance to the intended target, only to come back and cost us a goal. Thta told me, his kicking penetration isnt where it needs to be

You were at the ground. You must have had a better view.

3 changes after a 100+ point win? I wouldn't have thought so.

He was brilliant supporting an undermanned defence and against a dominant midfield. I also believe he's one of those players that plays better the better the standard

Maybe, Maybe Not

I thought Honey Fisher and Ed were average in a good side (and have been for a few weeks) and Hollands will get a rest like Cowan did this week. Fisher may stay if Owies not ready. Better, regular Best 22 players are also coming back. We are playing Brisbane in Brisbane. It's a whole new ball game

Cottrell TDK LOB Dow Binns also played well yesterday and are pushing for spots as well

Finally we have some options

I must be the only one that doesn’t believe Hollands needs a rest, just yet anyway.

I don't know. Just judging on what the club does like with Cowan. Short break, travel to Brisbane, other players ready. Perfect time for a rest

I don't think he needs one just yet either. He will need one I reckon but not yet.
Also, in response to FarmerBlue, game is at Marvel, not Brisbane
