If Docherty & Saad are fit that makes a massive difference to our side

I don't get how Ed or Honey stayed in

Dow will never play again for the Blues

It’s great that Doc & Saad are back…..assuming they are actually fit to play.

Don't mind Kemp getting a run but I would have thought Kennedy was a bit further up the pecking order... can only think they have identified that the lack of leg speed as being an issue, which it is.

We're never happy are we? Lol

Doc in is a huge surprise and that was kept under wraps! How about we give the club some credit for that?

Shuey out means there's no excuses for a comfortable win.

Would have dropped/rested E Curnow before Kennedy.

And I reckon Kennedy has been playing better than Hewitt & SOJ.

Anyway.

I assume Doc is going to play midfield and that our back seven will be Newman, Weitering, McGovern, Cincotta, Young, Saad & Kemp.

Personally, I would prefer Kennedy in the midfield and Doc in defence (instead of Kemp).

Honey has done very well to keep his place but, except for Fogarty, we don’t have any other options.

Doesn’t matter how poorly Fisher plays, he still gets picked

Should have been dropped a long time ago

Not sure what Voss sees in him

Love it
Great ins
Kemp is a winner. Takes the game on. Is what we need.
Focus on the Ins people.

Great news about Doc and Saad!
Don’t get Honey and Ed and Fog (emergency) over Dow.
Dont get Ed over Kennedy…..

I wish I knew what the requirement was for Dow… if it he needs to be a better half forward to get in, why don’t they start playing at half forward in the twos?

Amazing Doc is back. Happy for Kemp

You of all people should have known he seemed fit to play last week, let alone this week.

Very happy for Kemp too.

I guess if you are trying to inject leg speed into a team, you have to persevere with Honey. He was woeful last week so he needs to dig deep and get involved. I just want to see him run straight and nor skirt the packs like a sheep dog. He has to get physical. His leg speed has to also make him a tackling machine.

2 great Ins and happy to see Kemp get a run. Hopefully Kemp does more than enough to retain his spot for a minimum 3 games.

They will never get a better chance to win in Perth than right now and build some momentum for the Lions at home next game.

Regards Cazzesman

Because people would then complain he is being played out of position. :donk:

Let’s face it, Dow has been given plenty of opportunities in other positions. During the Bolts/Teague years I can remember him playing wing, HB, HF. Inside mid is the only position where he has ever looked AFL quality. And when Kennedy can’t get a game you know that the selectors are not looking to bring in another inside mid.

I don't.

I really don't get all the Hewett bagging.
Its almost on the verge of mass hysteria.

He's been playing miles better than Kennedy imo.
Kennedy looked really slow last 2 games. I mean really slow.
Hewett has been better than Cripps and ed imo, and ed has played his role.

At some stage we have to believe the MC know what they are doing, and we aren't privy to that information.

Dow and Carroll had about 40 possessions each last week.

If they were selected and continued to kick blindly into the hands of the opposition in an AFL game like they do in the VFL, instead of composing themselves, taking on the tackler and watch where they are kicking, this site would be hanging them, despite Carroll being a kid.

They are midfielders. Whose spot do they take?
There's an argument to keep the mids we have and an argument for Dow and Carroll.

I will back the MC, and thank the conditioning team getting Doc and Saad back so quick.
Gosh we need them.

Well, I think we can still have an opinion. It’s only when people express opinions as facts that I get annoyed.

Saad back this week from injury.
Doc back from injury.
Boyd back for a 2nd game since injury
Cottrell back this week from injury.
Motlop back next week, but not guaranteed a spot.

Owies back in a couple weeks...and he will surely replace Honey, like for like (which was the reason he was selected in the first place as the 5th choice due to injury.
Its coming together. We have a need for speed. Honey will go back to development in the twos soon enough to relieve the haters.

Have you ever thought, just maybe 21yo developing player, Josh Honey is actually following the coaches instructions and he executing what they want from him, for now, whilst the cupboard is bare and that's why they keep selecting him?

I don't think he's been woeful. I don't think we've lost games because of him. He's obviously playing an outside game and I miss his hard tackling game, but if he's doing a role for the MC, so be it. He's an easytarget. he's bottom 6, but it hasn't been our bottom 6 missing easy goals or kicking the ball blindly from the midfield.

I think the MC are the experts in the decisions they make, and some of us in forum land think we know better but dont. We have to trust the MC. Injuries have given opportunity to a lot of players selected. Sometimes its a god send, sometimes its not.

You could argue all day and all night about who and who shouldn't get a game . Kennedy is stiff for sure . And so are a few others . Thats footy . Bottom line the side that takes the field must play with intent . I mean real intent . Chance for us to regain a bit of momentum . This game seemingly is a walk in the park but there is no such thing in the AFL these days . Head down , backside up , and don't take your foot off the pedal till the final bell . No excuses .
