Why the @#$%&! do Saad and Newman run around the back for a handball receive ON THE RIGHT side? If our two better and more experienced players do such dumb shit, what hope to we have.

Voss has to make some tough decisions in the middle of the ground and our clearance, midfield and ruck coaches have a lot to answer.

Before the game, they put up our average losing margin at Adelaide oval was 65 points.
Did nothing to better that.
All game, they flicked it out the back of the stoppages and have 2 or 3 players waiting for it.
We get brushed aside when we tackle
We give away stupid frees at the wrong time
We have no one in the midfield who can hit up a forward
We panic when the ball goes inside 50
We have to many players playing for themselves
Crows had 14 players under the age of 22
Poor coaching
Poor conditioning
We are too physically small and slow

Where to from here is the question
There is nothing in reserves coming through

I know it's early days of the Ross Lyon resurgence but... I don't even want to finish it

Ross and SOS laughing in our faces.

SOS is probably laughing because of how much he fleeced us for 6+ years whilst picking dud player after dud player.

How can we be so bad this year with the same personnel?

We actually won stoppage clearances 30 to 19….got beaten in centre clearances 18 to 12

Yeah but look at the quality of those clearances.

Hack kicks or handballs to someone’s feet.

Every clearance they got resulted in a clean i50.

We got absolutely thumped through the middle all night and out KPDs barely halved a contest.

They even did it with the biggest passenger of the night in Soligo!

They’ve had 18 months to sort it out.

Carlton is not a basket case, it’s an apple cart which can’t be upset.

The spin from the club is all PC and Good Samaritan stuff but the footy field is ugly and mugs go to war not nice guys. We know who ends up finishing last...

Its a completely unacceptable loss but one that is not totally unexpected.

The chorus of a multitude of people cheering about being "undefeated" till now.

Thats all well and good and I was happy to "bank" wins when we were clearly playing below average to average football and generally limped over the line in the last few games - especially against North, who we should have belted to kingdom come but failed dismally.

The problem with just limping over the line, but winning is that it does not instill confidence nor belief that you and your team are really contenders to at least make the 8 and play a finals if not more.

Players to really be belted:

Cripps - I don't care if u had a mass of possessions against the Kangas. Surely, given our flowering horrific history at this ground against this club you rise and llift above and lead. I saw none of that tonite. Your worst game that I can recall for at least the last few years.

Fisher: nice game last week (at least for a half), but one OK game does not mean you fail to turn up the next week.

Motlop: your "potential" but without genuine consistent impact. Ill give u a little more leeway, but you should feel under notice.

Plowman: Its great that u are a part of the CFC. Its great that u play well in the ressies. Its horrible, when time after time when u get a senior opportunity, that u generally fail. Selection committee mistake no. 1 - should have given Cincotta the call up well and truly b4 Plow.

Honey: See Plowman comment above: Despite all the generally correct reservations on Dow, I would have thought he was and has proved by consistent output in the Ressie's to date, much more deserving and earnt call up for this game. Mistake No. 2 from the Selection Committee.

Durdin: See motlop comment above.

JSoS: I love your heart and your commitment, but you have failed to have any real consistent impact this season. So much effort to get to contests - either full on or minimal but generally do not take the mark. No impact on the scoreboard.

Forward system/process/movement: There was none tonite. I don't have the stats, but its fair to say a good 70/80% of the kicks into our forward fifty went to either of Charllie or McKay. Despite both being two of the best forwards in the comp, we cannot and should not be relying on them to kick us to victory.

There is more to add, but Im literally so fffing disappointed, Ill leave the above as it basically covers my main observations from the game tonite.

Technically, a 56 point loss has improved our average!

For those bemoaning St Kilda and Ross Lyon, remind yourselves where we were 10 games into the Voss era. Then look at who they've beaten: Freo, Dogs, Cheats, Suns. Probably no finalists among them. Saints have proven nothing yet.

Reilley O’Brien killed us in the middle! We were outplayed and out coached. we are so fortunate to have 2 forwards other teams would kill for and we don’t complement them with smalls we add resting ruckmen to compete with.when the ball Hits the ground and we get run off our feet.
We look so much better with 1 ruck.
Rant over :)
hopefully we switch on for Saints as I think they would’ve won by more tonight

I thought the same thing tonight. I've never seen a player work so hard to get himself into good position to mark the ball so many times. But then drop it through his own hands, not punched by opposition player.

Nah. Whatever happens, happens. Got bigger fish to fry, I'm just going to enjoy the game. ;)

Not 100% sure that Voss is the right fit for Carlton failed first time around at lions
and I think the same is going to happen here as well
Take a look at Collingwood success in appointing coaches they nail it every time

Des, it ain't the coach. Norm Smith, with Ron barassi and God himself couldn't coach this bunch of dipshits. We are dumb and complacent. McKay's run and snap miss. TDK tapping back into play. Plowman. Fish kicking across goal. Acres having a shot and not handballing. Tackles not sticking. It's all in their heads and they don't care enough. IMO only weitering and sos have the passion required. The rest seem to cruise and leave it to someone else to do the hard yards.
Do they want it enough?

It is fitness and conditioning.
We are too small and too slow and have too many Injuries all the time.
McGovern out with calf before game.
Guys who should be putting pressure on for spots are not even playing 2's
Marchbank Martin Cunningham not selected so still injured.
Every week since Russell arrived at least 10 players sitting out.
And we have at least 6 players who are not AFL standard and never will be Dow Kemp Akuei Mircav Obrien Plowman
List cloggers

Not going anywhere until we fix this

Not the end of the world, knew Adelaide would be a tough assignment.

Midfield very out of form but should get better when Walsh Kennedy Acres settle, & when we work out what to do with Hewett. Geez Doc would have been handy tonight.

Fisher Honey Plow all in the gun for next week. Maybe Cowan needs a rest & Hewett a week to get the hand right.

10 day break, dust ourselves off, go again.
