I thought we adjusted well after qtr time. They were getting
out behind us with ease in the first quarter.
We shut that down really well and stopped all their run.

An ugly win, is still a win!

Realistically, could and should have won that by 7 goals plus.

Despite some poor kicking, that was won of the best games I've seen Patty Cripps play. Simply outstanding!

Newman - massive kudos! - smashed Greeene. Not sure Ive seen anyone else blanket him like that!

Fisher flashed in, but mostly out. Still on my watchlist. Needs to impact more consistently across games

Motlop - despite a good game, seems to be an "almost superstar", has potenital plus. Im hopeful it will come.

As some have mentioned, despite the "draw" which maybe covers us to a degreee, our % is very, very poor, especially compared to the other teams above and around us. Not sure we can simply rely on being able to shut down teams and "limp" ovr the line to win. Simply must take opportuntiy to bury teams on the scoreline where we can (and today was very much an example of that)

Huge game from Cripps
Doc got a lot of it but turned it over a lot haven't looked but bet he lead clanger count.
Motlop was good.
Charlie came to the rescue
Harry played on the best fullback in the comp as was beaten but geez he gets no love off umpires.
JSOS field kicks were terrible
LOB just hasn't got a clue
Newman was terrific
Weiters was solid
We have a good one in Holland.
Cerra was good apart from a couple of horrible kicks into the 50 that resulted in turnovers
Thought it was TDK best game his follow up work in the ruck was brilliant

We gave up the corridor in the first thank goodness we corrected it.
We allowed them to transition from kick ins to forward 50 a bit to easily for my liking but mind you are gave them plenty of practice.

And Plowman was easily the best in the 2s it what was a pretty disappointing game.

The crowd was 80% Carlton

A win is a win so take it

Fisher is putrid watched him closely today.
Everything he touched turned to shite.
Time for the VFL offers about the same as O’Brien.

Only his 15th game.

Outside of Jezza and Judd I can’t think of too many reach superstar status that early.

I have only seen bits of the game.
From these comments it is not worth watching the replay.
Take the win and move on I guess.
Geez, what terrible kicking for goal.

I wonder if Newman asked Greene whether he prefers soap or shower gel before the game. Gave him a bath, he did.

I've been a long-time defender of LOB (probably not on TC, so you'll have to take my word for it :P), but from what we've seen from him so far this year, I fear he's not going to make it.

Also, is it just me, or is Young becoming Weiterbot 2.0? Loved him again today.

McGovern more consistent today too, if memory serves.

Still plenty of positives to take from the game. Looking forward to next week.

'How is that not a free?'

What a pathetic little game this is at times.

In retrospect, superstar wasnt the best term to use. However, Its fairly clear this guy has ALOT of potential.

Lets hope he fulfils it.

Yeah that was ugly.

Credit to Fisher for lifting late, after a quiet start.

Thank Christ Charlie kicked that goal.

I trust the Carlton medicos knew what they were doing with Acres :?

Only this year?
He showed real improvement last year, and was putting his head over the footy to boot.

NFI what happened over the off season, but he looks like the LOB from 2-3 years ago again. Worse, actually, because that beautiful left peg is MIA.

Couple of shocking moments just before half time. Including a total half arsed shot at goal. Back to the VFL & give someone else a go

Yep.

It doesn't matter if nobody in the 2's deserves to be promoted this week, LOB needs a spell.

Previous years w d have lost that. To regain the lead showed character.

Foot skills were horrendous but the effort was very good.

Newman’s best game for us. Cripps massive, willed us over the line.
