Every game will be a statement game for us. We have had our tyres pumped up and everyone will be swift to smash us down based on their own predictions.

But if we don't come out with intent, physicality and run, I'll be so disappointed. The tigers will be hungry, they've recruited big, but we need to bolt out of the gates.

Just win.

hope they’re not…good luck to the lads…!

I reckon Hollands might be. We will see.

Anyway, pretty awesome having 2 lifelong Blues fans starting their careers together in a huge game.

I'd rather see them both start and they can be subbed if needed.

Yes!
I'm hoping for a cracking game like Round 1 last year.
Go Blues!

:hand up:

Can't wait...

Good luck to the debutantes!
I reckon that probably settles the team... No idea on subs though

Go Blues

Seems our coaching staff are showing plenty of faith that Hollands and Cowan can take the hard hits that will come r1. Good to see.
Go well young fellas and show plenty.

very happy with this, sadly will miss the opener, Mexico is just a bit far to fly in for 1 game...Think it'll be close but we'll manage to win.

So are the teams announced tonight or tomorrow night? Will they announce a 5 man bench with sub to be decided later on?

Ah, makes me think of Blue Sombrero, he would have been all over this weeks game.

Miscalculated by a week and will be in New Zealand. Anybody ever thought of swimming the Tasman?

Didn't the Kiwi's take all of those illegals?
Surely they still have some left over boats.

Assume this is being named today?
My guess would be that Hollands or O'Brien are the sub. If so, my bet would be on O'Brien starting with Hollands to come on during the 2nd half to inject pace esp once a bit of the heat is out of the game?
Will be interesting to see who the emergencies are: Would assume Owies, Honey (in case Motlop doesn't come up), prob the other Curnow...

Corey Durdin or Sam?
If it's Corey, there's only 7 defenders which makes me think Docherty will play defence and Cowan won't be the sub.
There's a hell of a lot of players in that list coming off recent niggles or minimal pre-seasons. Durdin, Martin, McGovern, Motlop, Cripps, Kennedy, Pittonet, Young, McKay, Hewett
