[Lynch] is on track to face the Blues in round one but may not be fit to play any practice matches in the build-up.

"He's getting back gradually into training," Clarke said.

"Last week he started drip-feeding into some of our drills and again today.

"He should be fully into training next week, so he'll be available for round one."

Of course he will be available.
I have no doubt Richmond will be at or near full strength, as usual.

Unlike Carlton who always seem to have a lengthy injury list. But it's just bad luck.

But heaven forbid should they lose a player during the game, that's what the media will focus on.

Playing for the Shaun Hampson Cup.
Hopefully the boys can get themselves up for it.

Justin Murphy, Bill Barrott, Ricky McLean, Shaun Grigg, Andy Collins, Peter Francis, Denis Collins, Ian Herman, Tim Powell.

Hmmm, aside from Murphy, trading with Richmond hasn’t worked for us.

Dodged a bullet with Yarran

Ricky McLean was our biggest loss imo...but then again, we did have Nichols and Percy leading the rucks.

Shaun Hampson trade worked for us too. Yes, we lost Megan but we ontraded the draft pick we got to the Lions to get Doc.

I just bought a couple of tickets to the game. I hadn't intended to go but I haven't missed the opening game for years.
There was not a whole lot of options left, I ended up getting tickets on the top level of the Ponsford stand. Tickets cost $40 each which I didn't think was too bad. Looks like it will be sell out.

Interesting selections with the practice match tomorrow. You would think the players named just in the AFL practice side would be the ones with the inside running on playing round 1. If that was the case, we'd line up like this:

B: Newman - Young - Cowan
HB: Saad - Weitering - Docherty
C: Acres - Cripps - ?
HF: Motlop - C. Curnow - Fisher
F: Silvagni - McKay - E. Curnow
R: De Koning - Cerra - Hewitt

With six spots up for grabs.

I think Pitto, one of McGov or Marchbank, Cory D and Martin will be in the running for round 1, if not next week.
Would be shocked in Plow doesn't play R1, let alone these 2.

I paid $40 for level 4. Not front but only about 15 rows back.
Were there many tickets left?

Is it fully ticketed?
