Well, with half our actual midfield out in 2 games he was a starter, so you're technically correct.

He'll be one at *

Setterfield is worth twice as much as Francis. Agree.

By what measure?

Previous output alone.

Previous output?
They've been in the game at least 6 seasons and neither has played 60 games and neither has cemented a place in their respective teams.
Both fringe players and uncontracted. Neither are worth more than a third round pick.

Even though I disagree on each players output and talent, as I have Setters way in front, time will tell BV. My money is on Dodo.

BV's factual statements are no match for Surrey's "just the vibe I get" argument.

Dogdoro always finds a way . Funny , word from Tulla is he for once in his life is under the pump out there . Reckon while Dogdoro is feeling the heat we should ratchet it up a notch or two . Mr Supercool needs a bit of his own medicine and i reckon now is a perfect time .

Dodo is the most overrated hack in the business. The list he has put together has done @#$%&! all over 20 years. He gets way too much credit .
We have our resident hoarders up in arms again, unable to detach from the unwanted rubbish we don't need. Setters has essentially been on the market for 6 months. Ditto Dow. Clubs haven't been exactly knocking down the door to aquire their services. They are worth what the market is willing to pay for them.

I wouldn’t underestimate the Scum list.

- Back 6-7 has pieces (Reid, Redman, Heppell), but needs direction. Stewart is serviceable. Same with Hind & Massimo.
- Very good ruck division with Draper & Bryan or Sauce. Long & thin Cox & two metre Peter for variation.
- Hobbs, Perkins, Martin, Stringer, Smith all capable mids that go forward.
- Parish, Shiel, Merrett, McGrath, Caldwell are a good midfield core. Is Setterfield better than any of them?
- Wright & Jones are ok bigs, with at least one Davey coming in and possibly Munkarra for a bit of zip up front.

They shouldn’t have been so shit this year. Perhaps the backroom squabbling seeped into the sheds?

Help yourself to something from the prize drawer.

If they're to improve, Heppell and Stewart won't be in their back 6.
Ridley, Redman, Reid, Hind, D'Ambrosio, one of Laverde or Kelly and they need another tall defender. Personally, I'd play Cox there.
McGrath all be around the fringes as well.

Don't think Smith was a capable mid when he was playing.

Even less so now given he's retired.

Will Setterfield is joining Essendon* for a late pick swap.
The Bombers will give Carlton a future fourth-rounder in exchange for Setterfield and a late pick @7NewsMelbourne

Wonder what that means for Dow.

Carlton still has a very injury prone midfield.

IF we wanted to retain Setters, put this down to poor list management. Yuck.

I can't work out if we are worse off with the pick swaps.
It looks like we give away this year's Pick 68, and we get next year's pick around 68 back ... or worse??

This is a strange deal.
Right this minute, because I feel we are worse off with the trade, I would have preferred to let Dodo get Setters in the PSD.
I need someone to explain how we are better off with the pick swaps.

He's off our books and that means we have space for another pick OR another Trade in the next coupla days, and Ed stays on main list...for today.

We have to replace like for like . That would put Hunter and Crouch back in the picture wouldn't it .
