I'm willing to back him and the club in.

100 % Daggs but i like most here are disappointed in this decision . Stocker had something in him i liked and i call it shit . We lack mongrel and he had it . But , as you say Daggs we must place our faith in the hierarchy to make the right calls popular or not .

It’s no secret - 4 years on the list and still can’t run out a game - he was drafted as a midfielder- and had to be retooled as a small defender- but still couldn’t do it - overweight and unfit - there are standards and was given every opportunity to meet them.

Going to North the thinking is probably they have no trade hand as could go pick 1 in pre season draft. So I guess they just said for both parties sake just bugger off and be done with it all.

There was a video on the website a few weeks ago bluebagger players paired off chatting about other sports etc,

Stocker was paired with Cerra. Stocker said something like "he's boring" about Cerra. You could see the confusion on Cerra's face. I knew then Stocker was in trouble.

No surprise from me. I think he'll do well elsewhere but so what, its what he'll do for us that counts and I don't think he was ever going to gel with our midfield (and that's got nothing to do with fitness etc).

Sad cos I liked the way he played but not surprised.

Well , he spent most of the year with the medics and the magoo's . And then was picked in the last two games of the year with the season on the line so he must have been rated ............so , thats what has got us scratching our heads Trav . You don't bring a bloke into the side with the season on the line if you don't rate the bloke . I"ll back Voss every day of the week but this one has got me stumped .

What were our other options? I can only think of Newnes, but that argument no longer holds water.

Just skimmed the comments on the Facebook and Twitter posts and you're not wrong.

It's a shame to lose a player for zilch, but I don't think the team will ultimately be worse for letting him go.
