Isn't that what "tank" means?

I think the word "tank" is too generalised a term. All midfields of all teams can run all day but it is the speed they cover the ground that is important. LOB is very one paced hence why I prefer Cottrell who has more gears and definitely more speed. LOB would do well to spend the off season with Craig Bradley to learn what gut running is.

Tank ... large receptacle, container, or structure for holding a liquid or gas.

Real speed kills.

Endurance...Rain man

When I think of tank I think of our list management strategies of the early 2000s

Will never ever forget Newnes' goal after the siren.

That was in the depth of the 2020 lockdown in Melbourne and brought unimaginable joy at a time when we were all doing it tough. I must have watched that kick 1000 times since and again just now.

Best of luck to him and Oscar and Parks too.

Same here. It was such a weird finish with the downfield free too.
The way he slumped his shoulders when the siren went too was pretty funny.

Wasn’t Oscar on the rookie list?

I always wonder with him whether it was just someone who couldn't read an x-ray that allowed him to pass his medical, or whether we broke him by over-training him. Either way, pretty ordinary injury management/assessment.

44 on the list currently with 36 on the senior list, 6 category A rookies (O'Brien, Boyd, Mirkov, Cottrell, Hayes and Durdin), Akuei as a category B and another category B in Owies that we did not seek an exemption for in retaining as one.

Dow, Fogarty, Stocker, Carroll, Marchbank, Cuningham, Curnow, Honey, Durdin, Hayes, Akuei, Setterfield remain out of contract.

Given Marchbank, Cuningham and Honey aren't involved with the VFL finals - I suspect they're safe, otherwise a decision would have been made already. Possible re-rookie situation? Uncertain as to whether Curnow has been given an exemption to play VFL finals due to injury either.

Uncertain on our requirements re: O'Brien/Cottrell being upgraded to the senior list or not. I believe we're entitled to keep them on there for another 2 seasons if need be. Mirkov should be allowed another year also.

So I'm guessing 4 more delistings off the senior list and 2 from the rookie list to come.

He will always be remembered for that goal.
Best of luck to them. I am a bit surprised the announcements were not held off until after the reserves finished. I guess none of them will be involved though.

think Parks was abit stiff. looks like he had the skillset to become a solid defender ... but perhaps guilty of being abit too much like others but lower in the pecking order ...

Newnes .. that goal .. wowee

O Mac, honestly, abit meh ... again, the very reason we got him the side, to cover injuries, was pointless by the fact he was out injured.

im far from an Obrien basher ... as i think he has more upside than Newnes, but he surprised me he got a 2 year extension .. i hope the wings is one position we try to recruit someone for ..

O mac a bit stiff? Thought he showed a bit.

Unless his body is cooked?

Best of luck to the three of them. Never nice seeing players get delisted.
