Austin is combing the country to improve the wing position.

Port's Amon was on our radar till he was asking too much

Crow's Lachie Sholl, I suspect still on our radar.

Now we have added Freo's Blake Acres to Austin's list of wing possibilities

Carlton is at the front of the queue for Fremantle’s Blake Acres.

That is according to Western Australian journalist Kim Hagdorn who is reporting that the Blues have “jumped to the front of the race” for the Dockers wingman.

Acres, 26, is out of contract this year and is yet to re-sign with Freo as Victorian clubs circle.

Hagdorn says other clubs are offering the former Saint lengthier and more lucrative contracts than the Dockers which could lead to his exit.

“Blake Acres looks more likely to take a deal elsewhere,” Hagdorn said on SEN WA Drive.

“There’s several deals on offer, three and some of four years, for Blake Acres to leave Fremantle.

“He could well be going to Carlton. They’ve jumped to the front of the race for Blake Acres.”

Acres has been in superb form in 2022, enjoying arguably a career-best season on the wing.

A 6 foot wingman would be nice. Acres is 191cm or 6'2"

I feel Austin and Voss are clear of the holes on our list and will fill some this year's Trade/ Draft/DFA period.

Meedya linking all of these extreme outside mids wingers to us is to be expected.

Vossy may as well have been advertising a vacant lot with O’Brien in the side all season.

No talent necessary. Basketball background preferred.

I was speaking to someone today who knows Setterfield.
Says he is likely to be delisted and redrafted on the rookie list on a one year deal.

Good news about Charlie. Seems like the players are happy at the club and are re-signing long term contracts.
The only doubts I have about this one is the length of it. While he has been sensational this year and is one of a few that have managed to play every game he had those two years out with his knee.
Lets hope he can have a good run at it now.

If his knee stays strong then maybe the 2 years of missed wear-and-tear will prolong his career? Hope so.

Thanks for sharing. That would be a fair outcome IMO.

Hopefully we can come to an agreement with Freo and subdivide his contract.

I hope we do take a look at Acres, but it's Kim Hagdorn take-a-guess reporting.

Player is unlikely to be at his club next year. Do a quick scan of lists for teams that need that type of player. Report it as fact.

Could Tarryn Thomas play on a wing? Whatever has gone wrong at Norf, he has talent.
