I hate to kill the buzz in this thread, but we have a few stars in doubt for this weekend....

- Saad has a slight hammy twinge and is very much 50/50 at the moment.
- Walsh has ankle soreness (probably the same ankle he hurt against GWS).
- Weitering has reinjured the same shoulder from a few months back. I did notice this during the game.

You would think that the club would jab Walsh and Weitering to get them through the game, but Saad missing would be a massive dent to our chances!

sAAd looked very proppy and stiff in the legs at times in the Dees game. especially right before or after that running double bounce followed by a shocker turnover kick to Dees between centre a square and wing missing the two blues players one of whom was out on the fast break by 10-20 meters.

possibly carrying something, teams have been roughing him up for the last few weeks as he’s been so effective for us all year but especially in the second half of this season.

Cornes saying if we lose it'll be one of the biggest sporting chokes of all time

he’s already written his Blues 2022 obituary by the sound of it. i think he’s called us chokers once before during this season (or maybe it was Essendon**?). seems to hate us with a capital H does cornes. he’s a walking clickbait magnet.

I actually think Cornes is pretty close on this. And he has been a fan for much of the year.
His point was that if we don’t make finals from 8-2 and 10-4 it is a big choke. Hard for me to argue with that.
And in fact, that is the reason I then disagree with him from there: I think the very fact that we would have stuffed it after getting so close will/should burn in our guts all through summer and spur us on to a strong year next year!
Also, I disagree that it would mean our season is a complete failure. Lots of positives, lots of growth.
But that can be true, and it can also be true that we stuffed up the huge opportunity we set a platform for in the first half of the year!
Having said that, I am cautiously optimistic about Sunday. I think the best outcome is to make finals. And then win a final or two.
But if we don’t, I expect that the hurt will burn all through summer.

I just watched him on the Front Bar.
Seems like he is a good bloke but I hope we wipe the smile off his face on Sunday.
It was reported tonight that tickets have been advertised for sale for over $400 a ticket. You would be pretty silly to pay that for a home and away match.

If someone wants to pay that for mine, they're welcome to it.

We win - it probably pays for a trip to Brisbane for the first final
We lose - did I really want to watch that anyway?

I feel the same way.

And I'm not just saying that because I'm one of the general admin members that missed out on a ticket... I swear...

*mutters under breath* Why did I let the club talk me into changing over to that stupid carlton members only general admin section?! F#%K!!!!

Anyone else have their Fathers' Day plans on hold waiting for the result of this game?
Go Blues!

Side matter, latest update of the Carlton app. Can’t find the Videos section. Anybody else have the same issue?

My old man barracks for the filth.

Some years it’s fruit & nut, others rum ‘n’ raisin.

Williams & Hewett to play. Hewett will do test Sunday
O'Brien & Stocker out although we could have a late change

Yeah, I don’t get that either.

Guessing with Williams in the defence, no room for Stocker, and with LOB out, Newnes to the wing?
