Not Bad

Martin won’t play this weekend, also I’d expect them to hold over two players for the Saturday night game as emergencies.

Given how we played last week I expect us to line up like this

B: Stocker Young Plowman
HB: Docherty Weitering Saad
C: Hayes Cripps Newnes
HF: Cerra McKay Fisher
F: Silvagni Curnow Durdin
Foll: TDK Hewett Walsh
Int: Kennedy Cottrell Newman Motlop (O'Brien)

Stocker in to take Stengle
Plowman on Rohan

For mine, a couple of minor changes.

Newnes to the bench, Cerra from half forward to Newnes wing and Kennedy from bench to Cerra's half forward.

I’d play Newman on Rohan and make him chase at every occasion.

Cottrell on Smith and just blanket him best you can. Hope come q4 Cottrell can use his running power to advantage.

If we can stay with them I think we can wear them down

Cerra and Walsh rotated through HF last week and worked well. Voss has been using Walsh in that role all year
Kennedy hasn't played forward all year and bench means nothing.

Thats good , but Guthrie and Menegola being the second stringer's get under the radar . Those two can be as damaging as Danger and Selwood if allowed to roam free . Control 'em in the guts and we can control the game .

Not ideal for the ressies if any are being managed.

Good to have them all up & going though.

Unfortunately that’s my limit, 2 moves. Hopefully Menegola and Guthrie are busy worrying about our guys

Let’s be mindful our opinions from the outside are our opinions only not dogma

Walsh hasn’t played the HF role all year
Correct that Kennedy hasn’t played that role all year.
Doesn’t mean they will or won’t this week.

I think vossy has found out a lot about each player by testing them in different roles
The flexibility of the midfield group has been a feature.

The only mid I haven’t seen play various roles is Hewitt

Before the season started Carlton posters on different forums were adamant we wouldn’t play 2 rucks and 3 talls in the forward line would not happen coz it’s too top heavy, cumbersome, slow and we witnessed Vossy select 2 rucks and had Harry Charlie SOS and TDK in the forward line at the same time and had the Tigers shitting themselves.

Vossy is building flexibility and arming himself with tactics I think he will use in Finals and posters will be surprised but really shouldn’t be. Voss doesn’t seem to pigeon hole the midfield group because of the depth we have within that group.

This is a Transition year…..good luck to Hayes tomorrow night on the wing. He has been a star for us in the VFL playing midfield all year before he was given the nod and plucked in the MSD.

Anything can happen. Players with shortfalls will be overtaken. Players who itidy up shortfalls will be rewarded. Welcome back Stocker.

Pressure on spots will see huge improvement in players to play the role they are given by Vossy as expected. Looking forward to seeing Pitto, Gov, Marchy, owies, Boyd’s….all back.

What a great opportunity for Carlton in tomorrow nights rehearsal for Finals.

Anything can happen.

A loss is not the end of the world because we haven’t got to the finished product ….. yet

It’s a good sign if I forget to mention 2 of my preseason Best 23 players, Martin and Cunningham who are also on the sidelines

Pitto is the one I wish was playing tonight.

Imagine what games Vossy could play with the tag team of TDK & Pitto

I remember the game against them on 2009 at the mcg at night...was our big scalp which sealed our first finals appearance in 8 years. They were 2nd only to the saints and streets ahead of the rest.

Feels like the same opportunity tomorrow is present.

According to the BOM greatest chance of rain tomorrow is between 8pm and 11pm. Who would have guessed.

I'm hoping for a game like Round 3 2020 where we got out to a 42 point lead; but this time put them to the sword
Go Blues!

The question is, whether they do it a lot before footy games. Especially when it’s supposed to rain.

It’s Flemington carnival levels of shithousery.
