Forgot about Kennedy

What a shame.
I thought it was soreness but obviously something a bit more serious.

He said he forgot as in “he’s another in” not forget about him he’s still injured
At least that’s how I read it!

Pretty sure last week the club said no change to Pitto timeline with 12 weeks still possible so the talk he might be back soon might be wishful thinking.

To get McKay Pittonet back in the next week or so would make a massive difference to us. Martin & Kennedy now ready, Ed Curnow back playing this week as well, hope Marchbank can get games under his belt. With adding Durdin & Hayes we then look so much better if we can stay healthy

At the moment the words Carlton and healthy seem to be poles apart

This is who started the Pitto rumour.
Only got out of the brace last week.

Clearly Riley Jones meant they'd be back in the stands....

FYI, for all our injury worries, I'm pretty impressed with the fitness staff re Charlie who I was worried might turn into a Joe Daniher scenario, or worse. And also Doc who has made a pretty remarkable transformation from where he was at the beginning of pre-season. And getting Crippa back to his best (although he seems to have dropped off a bit in the past month). And Sam Walsh's recovery.

I'm more critical of the McGovern, Williams soft tissue injuries but I suspect their own preparation is not at the same level as the others. And even if it is, they're coming from further back in terms of their historical body conditioning.

Pitto, McKay, Cunningham couldn't really be blamed on the fitness team. And I'd probably throw in Marchbank as well. I'm hoping Marchbank falls more into the Charlie success story category after a horrific run of luck with his neck and then knee. I'm hopeful that once he gets a good run at it, he will be ok from there.

It's the setbacks in rehab that make my head explode - game day injuries happen - absolutely, but when in rehab - that's squarely on the S and C team.

Not if you really come to terms with how they train. It is a brutal sport compounded by brutal training. It has to take its toll somewhere.

Boxers don't become punchdrunk purely from the competitive fights they have....it's the multiple rounds of boxing they do day in and day out prior to the event and over multiple years. That, like footballers, is the only way they can mimic competition. I am amazed more injuries don't happen at training.

Sure - the full competitive training but the rehab group don't get to that - they have to actually make it out of rehab to train fully and McGovern and Cunningham etc can't even do that.

Sad list

Ed has another 1-2 weeks added?

From that list it looks like Kennedy, Marchy, Mirkov, will be playing this week.

Lets see what happens with Harry and his meniscus clean up ... some heal quick and some don't for guys in their 20's.

Going off that Harry won't be playing this week and probably next Thurs either

Who is Riley Jones again?

And what's the go with Cuningham? Have the club mismanaged his return?
