Newnes, Cottrell and Boyd are probably safe being regularly in the team or emergency.
Depends how much they want to turnover and mindful a bunch of late pick 18yo are unlikely to offer more.

But ex-Brisbane tall Connor Ballenden would also appeal due to his versatility, especially with Harry McKay and Marc Pittonet sidelined for a few more weeks. Ballenden has been starring in the SANFL for Woodville-West Torrens playing as a ruck-forward and is the only prospect to have nominated extra financial terms under the AFL’s rules. The Blues are also monitoring Northern Bullants defender Mutaz El Nour, who’s averaging 17.9 disposals and 6.3 marks per game, and Box Hill Hawks big man James Blanck.

The Blues are one of several clubs linked to Port Adelaide’s Karl Amon, who’s contemplating a move home to Victoria at season’s end. An unrestricted free agent that spent many years working under Michael Voss during the latter’s Power stint, Amon to the Blues would make a lot of sense. They have been linked to sweet-kicking Crow Lachie Sholl.

So we have picked up Sam Durdin & Will Hayes. Surprised we didn't pick up Ballenden but no one else did either.

Durdin will step straight in to fill Weitering's spot and is more depth for tall defenders which we lack. 26 next week

Hayes has been impressive at Reserve level and is tough inside ball winner. Good for depth. 27 next week
