There are 8 on the extended interchange.

[7] Matthew Kennedy, [3] Jesse Motlop, [46] Matthew Cottrell, [20] Lachie Plowman, [16] Jack Carroll, [37] Jordan Boyd, [2] Paddy Dow, [21] Jack Martin

A case could be made for each of them. Apart from Kennedy who is a certainty and possibly Martin, it will be interesting.

Reckon Kennedy , Cottrell , Plowman and Martin are certainties myself . That is if there is some sort of injury we are unaware of .

The opposition have scored heavily against us when they switch the ball across half back, shift our zone and consequently expose our defence .
Port and Hawks did it in the second half and so did the Swans. When we're controlling the stoppages and getting it inside 50 quickly, we're OK but when our mids drop off, we get opened up. Contested ball will be the key.
I'd get Kennedy to lock down on Adams. He's their grunt player and if we can shut him down, it will go a long way toward beating them.

So Newnes is in the 18.
I reckon Voss likes his hard body at the contest, plus his endurance.

I see a bit of Kennedy in Newnes the way they go about their footy.
Not blessed with speed, but hard at the contest, and both can handball, mark and kick.

I expect Plowman Cottrell Martin to play and Motlop/Carroll 23rd. I'd go Motlop, but I'm not sure what role Vossy has Carroll playing (high HF/ extra mid ?)

So the consensus is Dow will again be left out after being named on the extended interchange.

Between this and the sub he must be closing in on some sort of record. Do they do statistics on this sort of thing.

Agree that the bench should and probably will be Kennedy, Plowman, Cottrell, and Martin. Motlop unlucky to get dropped but he's had a taste and Martin is far too good to leave out of the side if he's fit.

Yep. Nervous about it but stupidly and uncharacteristically confident about the scum the following week.

I know that they had a good win in the wet against Freo but they were putrid the two weeks prior to that and Freo hasn't been able to settle a line up for several weeks now.

We bring the pressure we win it's that simple.

Carroll should make way. He hasn't done much the last 2 games. He got his taste now it's time to go back to the VFL.

I think Kennedy, Plowman, Carroll play. Martin & Cottrell will be the 4th and Sub. I think Martin will get the other bench spot.
Motlop will be back.
