Fantastic effort from the boys. Weitering BOG, back to his best the last couple of weeks. TDK will get votes from me tonight for those 4 contested marks, absolutely critical as we resorted to nervy boundary line stuff. Plowman really stood up in the 2nd half when we were under the pump. Durdin brilliant (let's forget that turnover), Fisher excellent again, the mids fantastic first half and just doing enough in the second. And Charlie!! LOB beating Buddy in a physical contest! So much to love!

Really looking forward to playing them over the next 5 years. So many young guns. I know Campbell is a Sydney boy but @#$%&! I would love him in navy blue.

When we play like we did in the first half, it's easy for us supporters to get carried away.

It's a bloody good win considering where we've come from, and where we're at personnel wise...

Fade outs need to be addressed but as Walshy said after the game... we're learning and we're winning... 8-2 baby

Honestly can’t believe it. Massive, massive game. With such a young and inexperienced side, coming off a 5 day break against hardened quality opposition.

Could do without the heart attack but so thrilled to have held on.

Second quarter was @#$%&! electric.

8-2. Top four. Wow :smoking:

The old saying that big blokes don’t get any smaller tang true tonight. That’s one of the toughest wins we’ve had in years, unbelievable stuff.

As frustrating as it was …

We were missing our #1 ruck, our FF ….

But we keep winning…

I have a serious man crush on Vossy

Said they gave away 20 in the first half.

A disguised whinge perhaps...

Great win. Beating Sydney and the umps is awesome. What really impresses me is that throughout the last four games I can't really point to a Carlton player and say they had a shocker. That just goes to show how far we have come as a team. Josh Kennedy is a w@nker and I hope he gets a three week suspension. Just glad that the wins are piling up.

Durdin TDK Charlie Motlop could be anything

Hewett Cerra brilliant recruiting

You’ve put in the hard yards Frankie. Your training reports in the early 2000s kept me going. Hope you’re loving it. This team is reminding me of the glory days. To be able to dream again!

We got a pretty good roll in the first half. They got the same in the second.

Geez Tom papley has a bit of turd-ness about the way he goes about it on the field.

Great win - TDK was copping it in the 3rd, but he held his head up and stood up when it counted.
Charlie is maturing, and keeping us in games.

Is Cotrell the new Mitch Robinson??

Getting quality games into motlop and stocker etc is great.

If we had one more half decent marking tall on the ground we would have won more comfortably.

Good learning experience for Voss too I reckon - they were clearly pacing themselves and playing more deliberately as the fourth quarter wore on, so he must have settled them well.

I’m absolutely thrilled with this win. Just so happy.

I know Errol Gulden, he was my nephews best mate, we’ve been away together several times. He was a passionate Carlton supporter as a young fella. I wonder if he’d be having mixed emotions tonight.

Carrol wasn't really up to standard.

Thanks Fj hope you are well we after a long drought should all celebrate the wins
Lots to still improve and work on and by no means the finished product

Early days yet and to make finals will be achievement but hopefully this team can do more damage than that in September
But we need to build sustainable success ie years of playing in the finals

Still need to get more ruthless

More games into TDK Young Carroll Motlop Durdin stocker owies OBrien and Cottrell will make this a better team

To win without H Williams McGovern Marchbank Oscar Pitto is bloody good

Always tough when you are a pure mid to adapt to playing HfF in the seniors, particularly when he was often tasked with making a contest with mccartin

After this great win it is time to reconsider - do we want to play finals or win finals? It is the latter and we're capable of mixing it with everyone, even Melbourne.

Why was Parker being booed?

Gulden has been watching Selwood. Terrible antics but the umpires keep rewarding that rubbish.

I think it was because Parker did a massive disrespectful mocking shoulder shrug aimed at Dylan Shiel during last week's Essendon* game .... very un-Swans like and unprofessional, not to mention childish. It was caught clearly on camera and the topic of much discussion.

Oh Frankie, so long since we have seen such a determined all round effort. And how long since the Swans have seemed so rattled that they gave away such a slew of free kicks ... most of them deserved due to losing the plot.

Edge of the seat stuff, but well deserved.
