There is no thuggery in either incident. Just putting the hurt on. How is this any worse than a full forward steaming out and copping some hapless defender in the face or a brick outhouse follower smashing a smaller follower?

Young started to bend down toward the ball and when he realised Zurhaar would beat him to it, he just stopped and pulled out of the contest.
What do they want him to do? Blink his eyes and disappear?

Anyone have a link to footage of the bumps?

I hope the club challenges the Young decision. Stocker shouldn’t be rubbed out either but I can almost accept it because he did make the decision to bump rather than tackle. Young did not have that choice.

Loved both bumps. Reckon most footy fans would agree.
It’s what we’ve been missing. Both incidents were hard but fair.
Morphing into basketball more by the day.

I feel the same way.
Stocker did decide to bump and as it turned out came off second best.
The Young one is a joke.

I think stocker is going to miss thru injury anyway right?

The Young one is just a deadset joke.

That said, great intent from our players and for the first time in bloody ages we physically intimidated a team.

Worthy investment.

The Young One should easily be downgraded. Classified as high impact. If the North player came back on and played out the game its medium impact and a fine.

I just watched the replay and have now seen the Young incident.
He simply braced for contact and at no stage did he move towards the North player.
He surely couldn't be cited for that.
The Eleni incident was also just an accident, she backed into TDK.

Should have been a free paid against Eleni for blocking a player going for the ball.

Stocker out due to injury and suspension and Williams in
LOB out and Hewitt in with Walsh to run the wing.
If Young is out due to suspension then Parks in.

Exactly.

Esp Young who I wasn't sure was a tough player. Good to see him play strong.

Young ought not be penalised because Zuhart talks tough but doesn't back it up. Whinged like a bitch when he hobbled off

Adel game will be like the Norf game. We will be expected to win so need to make sure we do. All about the team maturing.

LOB out? Are you serious? Gets dropped before Cottrell &/or Newnes?

Hope we appeal the Young suspension.
I reckon he has gone past Oscar.

Carlton IS set to appeal the Lewis Young one-match ban for forceful front-on contact on Cam Zurhaar. Was assessed as careless, high impact, body contact. The Blues won't appeal the Liam Stocker suspension. More coming on @WhateleySEN

I didn't really count Cottrell in as he was the sub, so Cottrell out and LOB sub then.
I still think Newnes game was better then LOBs on the weekend. LOB was great as usual when he's 10m clear on the outside.

LOB was actually amazing on the weekend. Best game I have seem him play in a long long time. No way he gets dropped. Did you see his kicking into our forward line? Going to be a hard one. Who to drop. Stocker out so if williams is ready he replaces him. Hewitt replaces anyone in my book. Candidates - Newnes, Plowman. Cottrel doesnt count, but if we drop Plowman he can be the sub. I think Newnes had his best game for a while too.
