McEvoy out is big. Lot of pressure on Reeves...good young ruckman, and although McE has been playing across halfback the shared load has been important.

Haven’t really been a big fan of opposition outs since the 1994 Qualifying Final against Geelong when they lost Bairstow, Couch and Hocking and we somehow lost the game.

We need to be switched on

Thanks a lot for bringing THAT up! :banghead:

What a horrible finals series that was.

Thank God for what happened 12 months later….

I still maintain that we really underachieved during that period - a threepeat - (93 - 94 - 95) went begging.

I'm still rueing the missed opportunity in 1980 when we had Percy Jones as coach :banghead:

Agree on both points too.
A real sore point for me.
And I do think we have carried that mindset of underestimating opponents too often over the past 20 years which no team should ever do, let alone a team with as poor a record as ours.

Hopefully, we are building a different mindset. But I’m nowhere near trusting that yet.

Sheedy still claims 96 and 99 as premierships, so...

Just saw the teams.
McEvoy out is a huge out for them.

Martin named emergency ... expect him to be Sub, but who knows the other 3 are in form too: Boyd, Parks, Fogarty.

Do we have a rant thread, sorry discussion thread on this digital ticket crap, I mean digital ticket process? Family membership, no option to get 3 seats together. Guess my kids will enjoy talking to strangers.

Another example of the AFL not thinking this through and empowering/ educating the market with an awareness campaign.
I guess they are saving bucks to pay the Executive as they normally do.

You've got a long memory AGRO. Too right.

I don’t think they’ll have him as sub, he needs to get some game time in.

The Club can confirm that Adam Saad will miss the Round 3 match against Hawthorn after entering AFL Health and Safety protocols today.

Defender Jordan Boyd will replace Saad in the side and make his AFL debut, after being selected in the 2021 NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.
