Every year around this time Carlton cleans up we are the October/ November champions no one comes close to us this time of year.
This has been happening forever, everyone looking at our best 22 and wondering how all these stars are going to fit in.
Every year is the same and it's not just the players who are going to make the difference. From Pagan, Collins ,Sticks ,Pratt, Swan , Trigg ,Smorgy, Liddle Ratten , Malthouse, Bolton , Teague, Russell ,Judd ,SOS Murphy, Gibbs and Kruezer all these and more were going to make the difference that sends Carlton into Stratospheres we haven't been to before.
The last 5 or more years I have simply refused to get sucked in by the Hype. I have dreaded the start of the year because that little voice in your head kept telling you that we were shit we are going to get flogged.
And the voice was right.
I got to this point and was going to contact you to see if you might feel a bit different this time around, for all the reasons you give below...
I don't know why but this time it feels different to me.
I can't give you one reason why, I don't think Voss , Cook Sayers etc have any special powers that will turn things around.
In actual fact I think that the off-season appointments have been totally under whelming.
But for the first time in God knows when I actually think this could be it the turning point.

Ditto, all the above
Add, Cerra, Hewett, Young and pick 25.
Hearing Cuningham and Marchbank are running, already.
Mirkov has been put on an intensive training block to get him to AFL fitness.
Charlie has a full preseason ahead of him.
All of last year's injured are on the comeback or over their ailments, with only doubt imo on Cuningham being available in round 1, and haven't heard if Doc and Philp will be fit and ready for 2022.
Something different about the outlook this time.
A lot of players on notice in 2022, and at the end of the year, at least 3 have to be cut to enable the 3 mandatory Draft picks.
High Performance. Powerful Brand of Footy. Focus on the contest. It aint for the faint hearted...and Hewett brings with him Swans culture and the brand of footy Voss wants.
