Circus is the club will get another Teague if that midfield isn't restructured.

No midfield depth and no senior rucks will follow the path of Teague.... can't win clearances and stoppages and can't use key weapons as in H to your strengths then good night - I fully expect these clowns to sack the next coach in two years and everyone will be on board saying how bad the coach is. The club is absolutely all over the shop.

A bit like following the ever changing landscape of your narrative

Sure thing buddy.

perhaps a new coach - wait for it - may be able to coach the midfield to be better by having an actual game plan and some development not just sit in the box like an upright corpse

stop your bitterness, new coach will bring new hope

I can’t see it happening JK and I don’t think it would work anyway...look at what Rutten achieved this year with good assistants on board. See my previous post as to what my recommendations are.

..cripps needs to get back into his stronger physique.. ....it's his greatest weapon, he's not going to be maxing kms.. ..he was unstoppable in his mvp year, and that role won't ever change..

I also think Sayers is making positives moves. And glad we are not jumping at media shadows.
Assuming the latest Clarkson narrative is just BS media shadows.
BUT, if we are really still going after Clarkson, I am concerned about who is leaking this - the best chance to get him is if we keep it all absolutely on the DL until it is done behind closed doors.
And also, the more we pursue him publicly, the less other prospective coaches will put their hands up.

Having said that, a similar thing was happening in the media with Colljngwood’s coaching role with everyone talking about Lyon, Clarkson, B Scott and Pyke. Nobody really mentioned McRae until Pyke pulled out (probably because he was told he was out of the running…).

100%

one thing i have learned through this, is there appears to be a genuine distrust or dislike for all things carlton in the media. I honestly just dont understand the constant media attention.

Collingwood board is in the supreme court currently .... and you barely hear a whisper about it ....

we finally appear to be getting out act together and its like the media have gone into a frenzy to try and make it so we give in and dont become the organisation we all want them to be and remain the disjointed unit we have been for along time.

Yeah, if we could use H properly he might even win the Coleman….

Is he with TPG or Optus?

It could impact on the connection from the USA. I hope he mentions in his pitch that he is willing to go to Dodo to ensure the best zoom connection.

I voted Voss, for the 2nd time. Hopefully he's willing to throw his beanie into the ring. Reckon he would have learned a lot from his time at Brisbane and a lot more at Port.
As we are certainly looking to improve our midfield, having a coach who excelled in that position as a player, could only be a good thing.

No evidence he's still learnt enough to handle a head coach position. We'd only be guessing and gambling. Teague was in the system 10 years, and like Voss a great assistant, great coach of his own VFL team, but the task of the head coach role he found difficult. Voss's winning record was worse than Teague and he had a finals side year 1, not taking over a side that won 4 from 43 previously. Voss has had a crack at jobs since and interviewed poorly.

We just had a coach who was a defender when he played. Guess what.....
