We sacked Teague last week and people are up in arms that we haven't appointed a new coach.

What people need to remember is Clarkson and Lyon were both sacked and the same applies to Brad Scott.
I didn't mind Lyon but If I was head hunting for a coach I would be trying to poach one that is currently employed not one that was sacked and on unemployment benefits

Whilst I don't disagree with your premiership winning sentiment, I go back to your original statement that thank God we don't have to watch his boring defensive style. I think his style has proven to be far more effective than anything we've been served up for most of the last 20 years. Besides that, this boring style has been massively overstated. His teams put plenty of teams to the sword in his time.

I think he would have been good for us, but if he only wants to be handed the job and not go through our application process you have to wonder how much the job means to him.

Anyway, what either of us think means diddly squat. Ross ain't the boss. Whether he would have been good for us or boring to watch is a moot point. We sit in limbo and wait for the next shit news story about our club

Fair response.

I'd pay Clarkson to engage in the review process, knowing full well we're not appointing him and that the new coach that we do hire eventually gets some shine out of it because we've come out and said that this is the guy we've put our faith in and was the best candidate for the job inclusive of Clarkson.

Is that an imperial or metric fuck-tonne?

In the good old days it was illegal to bet on 'known outcomes'.... Sportsbet have to keep their wits about them (and their ear close to the ground )

Taken the market off twice tonight.

Was suspended earlier for about 10 mins then came back with odds unchanged and now gone again.

Highly doubt it means anything.

Doesn't have to be a former senior coach.

Not going to get an experienced coach so i'm going Daniel Giansiracusa. Highly rated assistant, had his own side, Footscray in the VFL, and did well finishing 2nd at the end of the regular season. Only issue I have is spelling his name when I come on here.

After retiring from playing, Giansiracusa became a forwards coach at the Western Bulldogs in 2015. In 2019 he was appointed as the senior coach of the Footscray VFL side finishing 2nd at the end of the regular season. So I like he has had his own side. In 2020 due to the disrupted season he coached the Bulldogs' match simulation games and worked on opposition analysis. He was named as the AFL Coaches Association, Assistant Coach of the Year for 2020.

Great idea but...

Clarkson wouldnt give us the satisfaction at his reputation's expense.

He wouldn't touch the money to set himself up for a failure at the job interview.

Clarkson cut by Carlton...can see the headline at his expense.

so just a little recap on Drip Lyon. twice goes on national tv sprouting himself as the best option to coach Blues in 2022, while Teague was still contracted in the first instance.

then this verbal diarrhoea issues forth from his pie hole ::

"I reached out to Luke and we connected … I said I just wanted some clarity," Lyon told Channel 9 on Wednesday night about his conversations with Sayers.

"They've put the panel together, but everyone says the word 'process' … there's lots of things that can go into a process. What does it look like? Is it a PowerPoint? Is it question and answer? Is it an interview? What is it?

"Anyone can run a process, it's about your quality of process and what sits within that. I said I just need some clarity and Luke was terrific. He said they were just putting some finishing touches on, which they've clearly done with the panel.

"The other part of that is clearly what the process looks like, because it's just a word. What sits within that, the mechanics and what needs to be delivered? That's what I'm unaware of and when that's put to me … then you sit down.

INDICATIVE DRAFT ORDER Top 10 locked in, your club's picks

"Yeah, I'm interested in the process. But I've got to make sure I fit that process."

ok so i’m taking a wild guess here and guessing that Patty Kinnersley on the appointment committee is too much process for this petal of a flower to fit with. thanks for playing Ross, you’ve done yourself proud, again.

pies seem to have landed a decent guy. hopefully for them he can coach at the level. i’d rather take a punt on a untested coach at afl level than have another Pagan or Malthouse era of demise.

Patty Kinnersly - On the CFC website: [i]Alongside an extensive corporate career, Kinnersly has 14 years of playing experience in the VWFL for the Ballarat Lions, Fairfield Falcons and Parkside Magpies, playing in five premierships and representing Victoria on 10 occasions, twice as captain. Brad Lloyd - Played for Hawks 1998-99, 11 games delisted. Currently Head of Football, CFC. AFAIAA never coached.

Does this seem light on for

- recent playing trends.
- General coaching expertise. Recent coaching trends
- thoughts from outside the CFC.

Are we taking a chance again by possibly not getting the selection panel right.

Teddy my biggest concern as well. The pies have done the heavy lifting and Kingsley missed out on the senior job by a bees d###. I say let's get Kingsley.
