Not sure how they’d do it but I love the idea of us being innovative again.

Could be an amazing shift.

Interesting that Liddle and Lloyd are on the list.

Do we assume that Cook just subs straight in for Liddle if we land him?!

I suspect Cook might not come as CEO.
Might be more a mentor role or something.

As long as its via old school Skype, and not Zoom.....Far too over-rated.

MS Teams would be way too contemporary.

Watch them attack us now for not doing the very thing they would’ve attacked us for doing before.

No Clarkson.
No Lyon.

Maybe we'll get a McRae-like appointment after all?

TBH I have no idea whether we're better off getting a proven coach or a newbie.

That's how I feel.

Can we redo the poll now?

I still don't want Clarkson, can't see him having the hunger that Lyon should have had.

How has this BOD fk’d everything up so hard.
Like… it’s impressive how you can literally do everything wrong and have everything consistently blow up in your face.

Without being on the inside, I really do think the problem is Patty Kinnersly who would worry about her debacle that’s Carlton AFLW and be completely removed from any AFL decisions

According to the article, Ross was told that the process could go for 45 days. That is mid October. Not sure when trade week is exactly but normally the week after grand final, meaning we may go into trade week with no coach. Given everyone knew at least 6 weeks ago that Teague wouldn't be coaching in 2022, why didn't we start this process sooner? Did we just think we'd throw a bucket load at Clarko or Ross and they'd take the job?
Don't get me wrong, happy we are now forced to go through a proper and thorough process, but this should have commenced ages ago.
The fact Teague requested that nothing be said till after the season isn't good enough. Smacks of a weak board letting the person getting sacked dictating when the announcement will be. This has seemingly delayed everything and will make it difficult to attract players in the upcoming trade period.
Knowing us, we'll have another crack at Clarko, throw a bucketload of money at him and wait 2 weeks for him to reject us again and delay everything even further.

So Lyon didn't want to have to put on a suit and cobble together a PowerPoint?

Lyon, who was approached by Carlton to replace Teague, indicated on Nine’s Footy Classified on Wednesday that he had spoken to Sayers earlier in the day in a bid to learn the latest state of play at the club. Lyon indicated he was unlikely to put himself through a process which the new club president had suggested could take up to 45 days.

He didn't say that at all. Maybe if she stopped flapping her gums and shut up for a moment, she might hear what people have to say.
FWIW, if he doesn't want to put in some effort to obtain the role, he's not the person we want.
