I think Liddle was responsible for getting the Tiges record membership. Not the premierships.

One of the things I'm curious about is the relationship between the CEO and the Board. I have a sense that maybe the Board isn't keeping the CEO and other management accountable enough. This filters down the organisation.

I currently sit on a board and one of the things one sees is the impact of the CEO on the organisation. It is therefore critical that the Board keep the CEO accountable. Is the Carlton board doing that at the moment?

With a culture as it is, query that...

What did I say about the CEO and the Board...

Perhaps for the first time, the Board is actually looking at the CEO's role in this. Because ultimately, it's on his watch. I do not understand why he seems to have been able to deflect so much of the blame for this.

Actually think people are way overreacting to the brink of hysteria.

Yes the CEO hasn't been great - but really no one at the club has past 20 years. We are a revolving door of CEO's and Head coaches

We had a review three years ago and Lowe who is a part of current review ran that review as well. I am not sure what has dramatically changed from that review other than support structures, list management and health of the list has let the club down. What I don't want to see is constant hissy fits on emotion rather than taking a measured approach - and this has been anything but.

Can we have an 'official announcements ' thread.... that nobody can post in until there's an official announcement?

Would save me a shitload of time checking all these other threads.

Is this the same ITK'S that had Clarkson over the line today along with Teague, Lloyd etc sacked today.

Strange how they all post within 5min of each other hmmmmmm

Like I said 'I'll believe it when it happens '

I'm not doubtful coz some do get good info but I've been burnt before and I'm sceptical until these things actually happen.
So we'll see what 2morrow brings

I don’t recall any of the genuine news breakers being so definitive, only that Clarkson was interested and ‘announcements’ would take place.

It would be somewhat of a disaster in my opinion from a governance point of view if SOS is head of football and Lyon being head coach.

As good friends, how do you expect Lyon to be held accountable?
