Correct. How you can diss the Captain of a club then expect to retain the job and all will be peachy?

I'm keen on Ross. I think he'd bring a hardenss that this group and club desperately needs and you can bet he has a set of minumims he wants in place before he takes the job. Something that perhaps an inexpericnced Teague didn't demand.

Those things have been sorted out before. Pickering's wasn't an outburst, that's just a media headline. It was just a criticism of Cripps on the way he was going about playing by someone in his role in the media.

Lyon will lose the players pretty quickly with abrasive personality. As shit as that is that is what he will inherit with our group. What standards you set at Carlton and what you get are two different things. Many have found that in 20 years. Plus his sexual harassment issue goes against the "Carlton Respects" policy. One reason why we have cooled on him.

Still, in his last 3 years, 12 of his 17 career 10 goal+ losses occurred, so he may fit just nicely at Carlton...haha.

I think if Teague was to remain as coach (god help us), then he would probably need to fire Prickering as a gesture of remorse and an olive branch to the captain.

He should have done that straight after Leon chose to embarrass himself. Too late now.

Freo people talking bad about Ross Lyon make me laugh.

How many years have they been in the comp?
How many finals have they played?
How many finals have they won?
Hw many Grand Finals have they have played?

How many of those were coached by Ross Lyon?

Anyway, got no interest in the opinions of opposition fans. We need to have the best coach for our club. That is not Teague and Lyon is well credentialed.

Was that when we sacked Pagan. Made Barry Mitchell our coach. Nek minnit, Pagan unsacked and Mitchell forced to move his offices to the end of the Princes Park?

Freo set it up for the sexual harassment to get him out of the club , they wanted to start again and he was costing them too much money and players like always , they knew no success was coming in the short term , they wanted a new voice

The whole afl industry is full of double standards and sexual harassment and cover ups , they leak what they want to leak to justify there stories

So come on guys let’s use some common sense here ,

Like all of you the quietness around the club is frustrating, and the speculation is insane with all the stories coming out

Again I will say , Teague will not be coach that’s the bare minimum I know ,

Caro again was right with Jeff Kennett refusing. To pay clarko out , so clarko happy to sit and wait on principle with Jeff Kennett,it’s genuine hate between them and clarko knows how Much the afl will pay him to go to the Gold Coast after Kennett pays him and he knows what other afl teams will pay

Clarko in a win win situation….

I actually think this is a bit of a beat-up. Maybe I'm naïve but I think the report has indicated that Teague should be kept on but that the department around him needs restructuring, hence the resigning of Barker and Stanton. I think the board always knew that Clarkson wasn't on for next year and there was always doubt over Lyon. They look like they've checked out Lyon, but knowing the baggage that come with him re: sexual harassment issue, they thought he wouldn't be a realistic solution. I think the board like David Teague but he is a work in progress. It's whether they think it will happen for him.

Knowing the board's track record on coaching issues, I think they want to provide a different take on their tenure otherwise they will be under scrutiny. Just a thought.
