Wouldn't it be funny if Sayers comes out in the next few days and calls all positions in the football department vacant and seeking applications for those positions.
This could include incumbent people.

We would have the ride of our lives

Nothing wrong with what Sayers is doing or done. He doesn’t need to jump at the public media frenzy.
Evaluate the review recommendations, scope the options and confirm the right selection(s). Once everything is ticked off, make it public. I would go as far as selling it as the new direction the admin is taking and if possible have all the relevant hires introduced at once, as an example, Football Director, Football Manager and Coach.
I’m not sure if it’s Clarkson, Lyon, Scott or Teague as our next coach but we need to get this right and make sure our next selection(s) are the right people to get us back - no mistakes.

what are they saying agro?

Basically said we want Clarkson but if he says no then that The Board is now split on Lyon because of the cloud that he left Fremantle .

thank you

Ahhhhh
Who needs Survivor, Big Brother and Love Island combined when you have the
Carlton Footy Club
I bet Patty is one of those people who says
“ I don’t want that turd at this club”
Good on her and the others who don’t want Simba

Crystal Ball
Clarkson will not go to Carlton out of respect for Teague and why would you walk away from one train wreck at the top
to enter another one

Lyon is damaged goods in the modern age. To think a club would ring him shows how out of touch some of our board are

Reckon Teague will end up coaching us

Will watch Footy Classified on Wednesday night as Ross the toss does his best Gladys impersonation

Clarko coach.
Neil Balme list manager
Darren Milburn senior assistant
Sean Denham midfield coach
Dean Wallis in charge of spreadsheets.

Maybe have a chat to Stan Magro and Sharrod Wellingham too.

If we remain with Teague after what’s transpired especially given the coaching ability available we’re absolutely lost & directionless.
2022 will be bleaker still, but perhaps our administration need to learn another hard lesson.
Let’s see the talented coaching assistants that can be attracted to support Teague.
The sage would be comical , if not for the rancor.

The Carlton soap opera continues.

Although, it does keep us all entertained and makes the off season more interesting than what we produce during the season.

Now, let me get this right, it appears that we have formally approached Clarkson and waiting for a response from him. He has implied that he wants 12 months away from the game. Apparently we have tabled a significant offer to him. The job is his if he wants it.

If he doesn’t accept the job, an alternative is to allow Teague to finish his contract and remain head coach in 2022. Although he has expressed through the media that he hasn’t received support from the club and believes his days are numbered and will be sacked. Concurrently, his manager has fired a major broadside at the club and captain.

The other alternative is to employ Lyon as the new coach. He has “hypothetically” applied for the job through the media and is willing and raring to go. He has also fired a major broadside at Teague’s manager. Again, through the media. Although, “apparently” the club has cooled on him and may revert to Plan B.

In the meantime, the club is deliberating on the review’s results and will hopefully reveal them in the next week. Although, this will probably depend on whether Clarkson takes 1 or 2 weeks to give us an answer on our offer.

Aaah, the joy of being a Carlton supporter.

If the club chooses Teague over Lyon it will mean the PC Wokes are in control of the club.

The board members backing Teague need to publicly explain themselves.

I don't personally know one Calton supporter who wants to Teague to stay, and I know a lot of Carlton supporters.

You’re obviously not including the TC membership in your “I know a lot of Carlton supporters” grouping.

Don’t think Carlton supporters have much influence on who should be coach.

Although, agree if Teague is retained, there should a clear explanation as to what went wrong this year and what will change to ensure we get better going forward.

Wouldn’t “In charge of Talent Injection” be more likely?

There's an absolute shit ton of the wowsers on Facebook, mainly reposting the same Clarko-Dimma-Teague comparison without context and parroting the "disgraceful" "disrepsectiful" "spinless" "sack the board/no support" agenda from the media.

They did in getting him hired in the first place - it wasn't an advertising firm which developed the 'Teague Train' brand on his behalf...
