What comments about Cripps?

Teague said, after he was asked a injury coming into the game was as dismissive as when he reckon he never knew Cripps had a back injury

And then he said for the next 10 years , it’s weiters , Walsh and McKay club now to take it forward

But weird when Cripps will be here for the next 6 and is his captain , and is not even mentioned in the same sentence

That is weird.

Like I have said Teague plays the victim to the media , but was up to his eyeballs with liddle to get appointed and be a Allie for liddle to get rid of sos !!

SOS is gone because of his poor performance, nothing to do with Teague.

But really was it that poor?
I know we wouldn't have been reamed like we were with the Saad deal if he was still here.
And I'm scared to think of what Austin will give up for Cerra.

yeah, that screams of a serious disconnect between captain and coach. could make life interesting if teague is kept

He’s off trying to recruit Kante and Jorginho to form the double pivot in our midfield. Apparently they’re the two unicorns that Teague requires

Club email from Sayers.

Quote:
I wanted you to be the first to know that our football club has today entered its next phase of the extensive independent football department review that has been conducted by external panel members Geoff Walsh, Graham Lowe and Matthew Pavlich.

As communicated last week, the external panel had delivered a final report to me, the Club’s Board of Directors, and CEO Cain Liddle.

This report contains detailed information from key stakeholders across the entire football department and will be used as a basis for our club to make necessary and informed decisions to take the football department forward and improve our on-field performance.

With our AFL season complete, our club is now in a position to fully brief the senior leaders of the Football Department on the review findings. This process will commence this week and will involve consultation between the Board and football department regarding the recommendations provided.

The Club will take the necessary time required to absorb this review and any outcomes or decisions will be made on the timeframe that is in the best interest of the Club, not based on external expectations or pressure.

As always, I remain committed to continue being open and transparent with our members and supporters regarding any outcomes and decisions that will arise out of this review, including the summarised findings, and as such, once this process is complete, our members will be the first to know.

Just got it.

For mine, Teague has to go. I don't want a coach who seems to be ok with his lot. If he hasn't been given support, did he tell anyone? Was he demanding help? Or like his coaching, did he just run up the white flag?

Regardless of the support structure etc, lets examine Teague on the things he could influence.
Gameplan ? Seems to be non existent
Defence? Leave it to someone else
Pressure? Let them have the ball
Disposals? VFL at best
Brand? Easybeats

None of that indciates to me that he has the capacity to be a good coach. Even with the correct structures etc, I'm not seeing anything that tells me David is cut out for this.

Wouldn't expect anything less from those Parasites.
Kingy has pulled apart Teague ALL year about his lack of defensive structures and has said many times 'This is why he will loose his job' now he bags the club hes a hypocrite of the highest order.
Gerard well he hates us that's proven and he's Spewin he won't get the EXCLUSIVE about David being sacked to broadcast it on his show.

Brilliant work by Sayers members first for once

The thing is though, if we are going to get rid of Teague, why are we prolonging it? Why are we still interviewing him ?

We need to move on so we employ a new coach, make calls on players and attract new players. We cant waste a second as we need every moment leading into pre season.

Plus its only fair on Teague as well especially during Covid to look for a new job.

This is all confusing, unless the narrative is all wrong and Teague will end up staying. Maybe our thoughts are all wrong and we are trying to now be the nice guy after having been bagged in the media and by Pickering?

Curious !!
