A mature age ruck/forward who can replace Levi as a back up option to Pittonet while TDK is developing. I don’t imagine Mirkov will be ready for a year or two. We might be looking at Oscar McDonald for that role, but I wonder if there are any free agents or state league players who fit the bill? Would Josh Jenkins be worth considering for a one year deal (rookie list?). Having him in the VFL team should make our younger players stand a little taller and he would be handy insurance in case Pittonet loses form/fitness. And I wonder how Kreuzer’s body is feeling after a year off?

In the national draft, our priorities should be a midfielder with acceleration who kicks the ball well and a developing key defender.

Wouldn't say I rate him overly highly but if we're looking at that I'd consider Mason Cox before Josh Jenkins myself.

Seriously
Why would you consider players like this
Can’t get a game now
Old
How about you look elsewhere

Cox or Jenkins would have definitely played more senior footy in 2021 if they were on our list. I’m not advocating those guys in particular, it’s about addressing a short term need via DFA or rookie list while longer term tall options (TDK, Mirkov) develop. I feel like an experienced big body would help our young mids and small forwards develop too. Our VFL team’s only key forward for most of the year was 185cm Ben Crocker! Our smalls had nothing to feed off.

We need a CHF much more than we need another ruckman. If a hybrid is in the mix, it shouldn’t compromise the glaring need for the sake of 20 ruck contests a game when a patchwork committee can suffice.

For mine, Ratugolea is the ideal type, though it’s a big ask to get him out of Geelong with Hawkins nearing the end.

Sam Day is fairly busted, but again, fits the type.

Connor Ballenden, another tough ask being an academy product, but we’re offering a much greater opportunity.

Mabior Chol is not completely out of the question. Hard to judge his forward craft behind Lynch & Riewoldt, but he must be doing some things right.

Can the TC board pay out his contract early too?

Do we all accept the fact that this guy is NQR?

I still think he is "the poster formerly known as Asp"

I think the age profile will save both Newnes and Gibbons, while Fisher & SPS will be available for the right price.

Wonder what the contract status of McLean from Sydney is.

The Western Bulldogs will be gunning for a flag next season however obviously lack targets up forward. I wonder if they would be interested in McGovern?

  Careful 99 he's abit sensitive to suggestions he is a past player on TC. He's his own man and that's that. :yikes:

Any chance G.C would be looking for an experienced third tall defender.

We could pump Plowman’s price up at the B&F

He didn't deny it last time; just spoke in riddles about VPN and how he was impersonating me...his posts about Teague increased at a more exponential rate than Covid just as Asp's posts were approaching TCs equivalent of Covid Zero
I'm just amusing myself herea

Cox to replace Levi
