I don’t know what I am allowed to say and what I can’t say , I just got a phone call with someone close to the players
And all I will say , no wonder this club has been a shit show for such a long time
So many selfish people at this club ,,,...
And like bolts and ratts , Teague with be another one that will be cut without getting to the root of all the problems at this club
You can say it without names. Come on azza...I've shared without names...its easy.
If its come to a friend of a player, that's not a Board leak, and doesn't make you a snitch.
What are the roots of the problems at the club IN YOUR OPINION?
So I’m trying to get more information and waiting to here more this afternoon ,
The playing group sick of sacked coaches , love Teague except couple of senior player who doesn’t believe in his vision ,
Infighting at the club every week with internal politics( liddle and Lloyd, Teague mistake he sided with them instead of sos ) , it’s a toxic place to work and play at (which ties in what Teague said on Thursday about physiological safe workplace )
Too many have personal interests and cause of the money they pour in , think there word is final ( eg they won’t give money for the coaches soft cap and development if Teague is coach but happy to pay the tax as long as he is gone ) but yet they don’t want to any of the hard work of building a club and just believe it’s the 80s and 90s
Eg Ahmad Fahour leaving Carlton and going to tigers , there was talk he wanted to be president and wanted to run the club a modern way and bring it out the dark ages (matho and Pratt said no way )
And not much love for sayers of his association with the previous board , same same
Judd leaving at the start of the year , cause all the money that he was owed was finally paid up .. and Teague papers stamped from the start of the year unless he miraculously made top 4 , and that’s just another example of the delusion of this Board and self centred egos ...

Oh and the most alarming thing was also young generation sick of losing since they walked into the club
And if we can’t change that soon , certain stars to be to walk in next couple of years because of the scrunity that comes with it
You could hardly blame them either.
Murphy is a reminder of what happens if you stick around too long.
Thanks Azza.
Can imagine that coming from a player's friend or relo, and its probably on the money if they feel that way. Plenty in the industry remember the toxic relationship between Pagan and Mitchell who had offices on either side of the ground, as far away as possible from each other, then the Ratten and his clique of seniors as a faction, followed by Malthouse who wanted his people and his way or hit the highway as many found out, including players, and recently with SOS and Liddle/MLG. The one constant is the Board and the benefactors.
When Judd left, no matter what you think of him, you knew there was something not right in the Football Dept.
When rumours circulate that prospective coach Clarkson think the Board interferes too much with Footy Ops ay Carlton, then you know there's something unnatural happening there.
Cazzeman's recent insight.
It's not unusual for the CEO to have run ins with Heads of the Football Dept. I'm just not sure about Liddle. He's either very very good, or he's a problem.
Ahmed did have his eyes on the Presidency. Maybe he was the right guy, but who knows what really happened. Ahmed makes things happen, but he wants it his way?
If the Benefactors pay the soft cap taxes for getting the right people to coach a winning team, and develop the group to get them humming, and Best recruiters with an eye for talent, and see to it that we add great players to our list, I'm all for it.
Many years ago, we won Flags without Pratt's and Mathieson's money: 68, 70, 72. It will happen again.
Right now we need to get through this Covid affected Footy Era, with soft caps and list limits, and hope Sayers takes pride in what he does to get the club winning again ... then when we are winning and back on track, in step with the times, we can call an EGM at the end of his tenure. If Sayers fails, and I don't expect his ego to allow for that to happen, we are better off standing down the Board. So really important they don't get that change to the Constitution requiring 5% of the 80,000 Members = 4000 signatures, or whatever it is to call for an EGM.
I think with the SOS' rebuild, the egos, including SOS, got ahead of themselves when the job was only half done.
Like you said azza they are delusional, especially if they thought we could win a flag in 66 months, let alone this year or next. The Review should highlight List Profile and give the Board a reality check.
I don't think the list is that far off, but like thoroughbreds the conditions for the players must be 'safe', secure and conducive to get the best out of them.
There's not that many 'senior' players to disrupt now that Levi, Eddie and Murph are retired: only the latter could have been in a position to be influential/ disruptive imo.
After the 3 retirements, in order of age, the remaining seniors are Curnow, Jones, Doc, Saad, Williams, Plowman, Newnes and Newman, with Martin 26yo and paid a king's ransom, ditto Williams and Saad's only new. I can't see any of them being disruptive. Please not Cripps he's 26yo and a senior too. I can't see why Cripps signed on if he thought the environment was so toxic it wasn't going to lead to success.
