Do they mean like a RooTs, Goodwin plan where Ross is the boss for a couple of years, then Vossy takes over?

Kind of wish Murph was playing on now.

Would love to see those two get stuck into him…

I really wanted Teague to succeed. I loved the exciting game plan and quick ball movement that he initially promised.
Even during this year's pre-season, I heard from opposition players that they believed us to be a really good team that would perform well this year (eg. from an Essendon* player who thought we were a great team).

And, I do believe we have improved in a number of important areas, notably: Up until this week (and maybe against the Kangaroos), we kept our losses narrow which is something we've struggled to do. And also, Harry had a break-out year, and Walsh and Weitering continued on their upward trajectory.
Unfortunately, even with our good players playing well, we couldn't mount the wins. And we couldn't steal a win against a top 4 (or even a top 8) team.

And the worst part of it is, I saw players look completely lost on the field - not knowing where to go or what to do, esp without the ball.
This may be due to the players but ultimately it is up to the coach to instill a good game plan. Whatever the limitations - either he needs to replace the players (which he didn't really do much of) or make sure they have a good plan and understand how to execute it.

So, sadly, we go back to the drawing board and have to take a step back to go forward.
I am very glad I'm not making the new coaching decision - there is risk in every option. No-one is a sure thing.

It's all good.

Don't despair.

You're right. We should put 18 men forward of the ball and hope for the best.

That's much better. Toot @#$%&! toot.

Apparently for the GWS he will send an extra man down back as opposed to up at the stoppage.

At least making an attempt to win a game not attempt not to lose.

All top teams in Europe play attractive attacking football. Geelong won't win the flag because they're too vanilla... Demons much better chance as they move the ball and attack.

Wouldn't look so bad if they stopped inventing new stats and adding new teams.

True. If there were no other teams, we could be number 1.

I had no idea they played Aussie Rules in Europe.

I am aware - but skinny midfielders with poor skills and key players not on park to build cohesion is not helping.

Not going to get very far when all rookies get 10+ games and VFL players barely knocking down the door but must play out of necessity.

Its been happening all year - we had some 15 injured after round four. Just didnt have decent AFL talent on the park long enough.

Next step is to have a decent injury list and build cohesion between the players. But people expect miracles from VFL standard players.

Yet Rutten has a projected bottom 4 team in the finals this year and we've gone backwards.
Cool story bro...

Facts are facts.

Yep.

7/17 = 41%
8/22 = 36%

Not a single win against a team in the eight when we played them.

Teague fate was determined first half of the year, even then the the obvious deficiencies could t be addressed.

Problem for Teague is Clarkson with the same pressures, same injuries, a lesser talent pool to work with, has turned that ship around to show how it is done.
