That’s the rational and sensible response (well sort of ;))

It’s infinitely better than the response which plagues families of people like us who aren’t so measured as to stick to being keyboard warriors but rather, unacceptably, take it out on their families.

Very sad that there is evidence of it. Unfortunately, the evidence is also from overseas.

I assume alcohol is often involved.

I wasn't as happy with O'Brien last week as others, thought he did some nice passes but also was pretty terrible in close. Today, hardly saw him til 3q time. Seriously invisible. Lifted in the last qtr, but that in itself is infuriating.

The whole side looked desperate in the last 5 minutes of the game. I'm just staggered they couldn't manage that from the opening bounce :?

I've been pretty numb this year but for the first time I'm filthy. Might have to give the media a wide berth for a few days I reckon.

Credit to GC, they knew they were playing against a bunch of idiots & outmuscled & outsmarted us on the day. Thought their ball use was pretty good.

Well, I hate it when our club colours change. Surely there are other ways to get the message across.

Sadly on a day where the club is trying to raise awareness and support for domestic violence against women, that shithouse display would no doubt have added considerable danger to at-risk partners of some members and supporters in some very volatile households during lockdown, particularly if gambling is involved

A cruel irony of our latest failure

Are you seriously suggesting that supporters get so angry about their team's poor performance that they get violent?

Unfortunately there is evidence of that. It’s not usually the sole cause but can be the trigger.

The Gold Coast knew they were playing the mentally softest team in the afl !!

That’s our brand !!

It might come down to Richmond barracking for us against GWS in the last round. In which case I hope we get thrashed

That R4 loss in 2019 was the beginning of the end for Bolts, even though we did win next week, just showed we had no idea how to get over the line generally.

Well, what to say?
Almost all game.
Almost tackled properly.
Almost intense.
Almost clean hands.
Almost set teammates free with handball.
Almost read the bounce.
Almost kicked to advantage.
Almost wanted it more than opponent.
Almost got key clearances.
A depressing inevitably about the whole thing.
I don't know if today's loss is all on Teague but I no longer feel any desire to look for the positive in him.
Let the coaching cards fall where they lay.
Even my lower expectations today were unmet.

You watch this team long enough you start to see the signs.

Pro:

Got on the bike about half way through the 2nd and went and rode loops of Albert park through the drizzle until it got dark.
Then came home, put a roast in the oven and watched mortal kombat movie.
The roast came out pretty good. A little on the dry side but that's on me - I didn't get up to turn it over.
Sweet potato a little on the hard side too but nothing a little Himalayan rock salt can't fix.
Movie was atrocious but still entertaining. Unlike Carlton who weren't even entertaining.
A few shots of the Hemp Vodka from Gippsland rounded things out nicely

Con:

Us. It's you and I. We've been conned into loving this club.

I think you are the problem here. What about violence against men?

Violence in general is grotesque.

I like how the club raises awerness but not to the point at changing club colours.

If the club ever wears LGBT socks I will not follow the game anymore at AFL level and just follow VFL. I will completely lose passion for the game.

I think politics should not be a part of football.

Out coached by a mile. Lack of willingness to lift the intensity when the game was in the balance. Scores even 10 mins into the last quarter. 3 goals bang game over. Weak as piss. More upset than I should be, worst of the season in my view. That’s it for Teague.

Thank you for contextualising a lot of the baffling strawmen (#notallstrawmem) in your football related posts by claiming we can't address two issues simultaneously and therefore the one that affects approximately two percent of the broader issue is clearly the most pressing. That you've taken the time to add none too subtle homophobia to your Sky News bingo is cute too.

You'll enjoy the VFL. Lot of great social causes being championed by a number of clubs.
