No thanks.

He's an anti Carlton Coward Puncher.

He wants to take us to the cleaners for one last anti Carlton act

I totally understand people who can't look past what happened in London in 1987. Not fully convinced I can either.
What he did to stop Fev getting to 100 was mean spirited.
I can't stand the little turd.
However, I am not a believer in cutting your nose to spite your face. Clarko is the best and most successful coach of the modern era and up there with the greatest of all time.
Some may say he is washed up, a hasbeen, looking for a retirement payout etc. I disagree. He is still young, he is still motivated and passionate and he has a point to prove.

Not too mention the unbreakable team culture he has built as his team is 2nd last and North are playing better football. Hope he finishes the year to show he is only really a wooden spooner.

Rifts with Mitchell proves he is incapable of working with others.

The Lols if he is appointed will be real - don't worry I won't be saying I told you so.

You are kidding yourself.

How do you explain all the anti carlton crap since...like foecing Fevola to be stuck on 99 with for opponets on him in the last.

He hates carlton with a passion.

The crap he has heard since the battle of Britain till he got the coaching job and since then... he wants to hurt us...and he will financially by taking our money and wasting our time during his tenure...then he laughs all the way to the bank and retire on his farm.

Can't trust the prick of a Coward Puncher.
Some fair points there.

The whole Fev thing was about teaching his players to be ruthless and give the opposition absolutely nothing.

Imho.

Hawks don't agree.

They think he WAS the best and most successful coach of the modern era.

If he was as you think, why get rid of him for an untried Assistant Coach? Seriously. This needs to be answered.

Another conditional post in support of Teague.

What's Hawthorn's list like compared to ours?

I thought I read something recently about Clarkson and Graeme Wright having a fallout with Clarkson telling him where to go?

You're a better man than me.

Mathieson wants Clarko, and offered to bank roll his appointment.
I think that meant giving Hawks a donation to pay out his contract and donate money to Carlton to the value of the contract.

Sayers has chased Clarkson, well at least shown ongoing interest according to Hawthorn people.

I can't change my feelings.
I can't trust him.
Hawks have dropped him, when they had him for life.
That resonates with me.

Lets go for Wright then!
He must know something.
There's many who want him out of Hawthorn according to Caro

Has one of the better midfields in the comp with Omeara, Mitchell, Shiels.. they have key forwards, they have key backs, they have a ruck and yet they sit second last.

"unbreakable team culture"

Jeff Kennett and his ego. He has repeatedly said he doesn't believe a club should have a senior coach for too long a period.
Fear of losing Sam Mitchell.

At the end of the day, we could all be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. He may not come to us. He may decide to put his feet up for 12 months and then assess his options. He may choose to go to the filth. The AFL may bankroll him going up to GC. Time will tell firstly where he ends up and also whether he truly is washed up or not.

It's alot better than nearly winning the spoon, which tells you that the Hawks have badly underachieved this year. Might tell you something. We have been down this road before with gun coaches who were getting passed it yet many still fall for it.

Trying to coach a side with a terrible culture that lacks the motivation and will to succeed as a near impossible task. Many have tried previous to Teague, all bar Ratts have failed badly. Same boat, we thought Malthouse was going to be better when we got rid of Ratts. Teague has the 2nd best record of any coach here this century. Given the weak minds he has had to coach probably not bad. He did better than Malthouse too, who was every bit as a good as Clarko.
