This year has been a terrible year for Carlton fans with more losses than wins.
What's worse is Carlton has a generation of young fans from 0-25 who have not experienced success and can't handle the continuous negative news stories about Carlton and are giving up on footy altogether.

To make it worse Channel 7 and Sunrise program have failed for a second time this year to acknowledge a late Sunday win by Carlton on their news service. Nothing. Not a mention.

I have already banned the show in my house because of their obvious anti Carlton behaviour on the show, which seems aligned with the constant negative reporting of Carlton by Herald Sun journalism led by Mark Robinson. I only had a peak to see if the Blues victory is mentioned this morning, and true to anti Carlton form; nothing reported.

The Sunrise news reader, even described Carlton's 28 point loss to Port as a thrashing whereas a Saints 80 point as a disappointment. Its not a coincidence. Its obvious bias. I'm sick of it.

Port fan David Koch and Geelong fan Mark Beretta are central to this problem, and its about time they apologised and changed their ways, or please leave our screens sooner than later, so we can get on with what journalism and reporting should be and that is unbiased.

Channel 9 (Rugby Channel) News on the other hand highlighted the State of Origin game, then headlined the 2nd quarter blitz by Carlton, showing highlights including the Crippa goal on the run, and had a good news vibe about the wording.

Recording showed nothing mentioned on Sunrise other than the State Of Origin on Channel 7(the AFL Channel).

Disgrace.

My wife works in Media.

Thank god she left the 7 Network last year in January, because I couldn't stand the channel and was not in a position to say so publicly...just in case.

My sister-in-law is so entrenched in the culture wars that she refuses to acknowledge the existence of ABC and SBS, and will watch Ch 7/9/10 exclusively out of principle (possibly not 10 because of The Project). Now that's what I call taking a bullet for your beliefs.

I haven’t watched free to air TV for 20 years, and only had cable in Singapore so I could get the footy on the Australian network channel. For the last 5 years it’s all internet streaming and digital media.

Why would anyone watch free to air?
