Looking at Russell, Hartlett, Raso and Blackwell for improvement and Eddie Betts to continue some sensational footy.
Andrew Walker will be grand very soon.
Love all the new boys also, Marc will be special, actually all 2005 draftees will add plenty once settled and hardened a little, give them 1/2 years.
Competitive and exciting times ahead for the Mighty Blues.
At long last things are moving forward in positive way.
Ciao

Up tne Blues.

Im looking forward at seeing Campo in a Bomber jumper....Thats closure for me...

And im looking forward at seeing the kids enjoy their football more and stepping up to meet the challenges of the next ten years.

Hartlett throwing some size around. Setanta getting 10 games and providing some match up problems for the opposition with his height up forward.

Hartlett.

What's stopping him from being developed by being played a kick behind play ala LRT?

I don't know how fast, agile and fit Hartlett is compared to LRT, but I'm looking forward to the day his prodigious kick and frame are unleashed.I miss the days when Carlton had quality bigmen at both ends of the ground and in the ruck.

I agree. Also hope Russell & Blackwell can step up in their second year.

Looking forward to seeing how far the following three can go with some much (now arrived) needed assistance. By that I mean, all three have had to play the past two to three seasons under duress due to the lack of assistance in their departments.

1. Thornton - how much can he improve (had a shocker in 2005) with a bit of help down back? Assuming Saddington stands up;
2. French - how much better can he be with some decent assistance (McClaren)? He might even be able to rest 7 - 10 minutes every quarter without fear of the scoreboard blowing out the wrong way;
3. Stevens - with Simpson, Bentick and hopefully one or two others taking the heat off Stevens, I want to see just how devestating he can be in his customary midfield running role;

Reading over this thread, it's great to see how many different kids with potential we have to choose from this year. The youth focus is starting to gain momentum.

Personally I want to see Jarrod Waite continue his improvement and become a genuine star performer this year. And I want young Tex to drag in mark of the year too. And Jake Edwards - probably in the Ants this year but he comes across a little like a young Carey with his self confidence (in a good way). And Bentick....Simmo, Murphy, Kennedy, shit so many to choose. Bring it On!
