I.e. 2 finals and lose Prelim = 11 wins from 20 = 55%

Which in anyone's estimation would be considered a 'great' result but is in actuality still Not an improvement on last year in Win/Loss terms!

...and post season, we will be doing sums to work out how close we were to what could have been with change in our favour of the following results

Richmond 4 goal loss after 5 goal start
Dees 1 point loss after 6 goal start.
Saints
Hawks
Port
WCE
Coll

theres a good excuse for all our losses.

10% improvement probably gets us toa Grand Final, but 5% improvement next year will see Teague taking us a step closer to the promised land.

Teague has a plan and smart people around him.

Salient observations Sir.

However as we've all opined copiously here re our main woes being forward entries it is a really simple sign to show us some of that 5 or 10% right THERE where it's needed most.
Results of strategy adjustment, training drills should be very quickly apparent.

pls note i said 'simple' sign.
I am always profoundly conscious of the difference between 'simple' and 'easy'.

Many worthwhile things are 'simple', often quite obvious;
but 'easy'? - that's another thing.

P.S.
i did an edit on that other win/loss post and added this:

So for Teague to show Marked Improvement he's gonna have to take us all the way: Win next 6, Win the Flag
Then he gets to an admirable 59%

Lol

Comparing this season with 6 games last season is ludicrous

Guys it was 11 games for 6 wins.
This year 15 games for 7 wins.

Substantial enough to compare, yes?

No

2019 Disprupted year. Same Team. Same plan. Different voice.
2020. Disrupted year with Pandemic, 3 month gap between rnds 1 and 2, compressed games, hub...nothing normal.

You can't even compare teams this year not knowing which team will arrive on the day.

Lets hope after a great Trade period, a full preseason and a 'normal' 22 round competition, we are in a position to judge him at the end of the year, not week by week.

This year we are one game out of the 8 with 2 rounds to go. That’s fact.

I’ve personally have seen improvement from a number of players. That’s my story.

Beginning of the year I thought a pass mark was 8 from 17.

In my view, if get there (or 9 wins) then the coach has done his job this year and has set us up for the next year.....however that looks

I know every team has to deal with injuries but the Missing Charlie left a huge hole.

Harry is hit and miss but improving, likewise Levi has had some moments and the other has proved he can be a ghost.

Charlie has been a huge piece of the puzzle missing because you can tend to build an offensive game plan around what he can do.

Would need to exhibit YOUR level of humility though.

p.s.
'Capitalisation' would be a starting point...

Another win by less than a kick which we could well have lost.
Another game where we let the opposition get off to a flyer.

Interesting take from someone intimately involved at the club until recently........According to @99 and @Colourman it's all Teague's fault. Go figure.

Just another opinion I guess, but that's how it looks to me.

One trivial detail...my opinion was about SPS, not Dow...easy mistake to make...both have 3 letters

Must have been guilt by association with your besty.

But on a positive note..........

See your mum was right when she said............"Son a good education is never wasted." She knew then, a grade 3 pass in English would get you by in life. Well done you.

Just keep deflecting and firing back blanks if it aids your obvious insecurity about not wanting to accept you were wrong

PS. You missed a comma after the word, "Son"...no big deal. You spent all your IQ tickets coming up with that incongruously manufactured gag about education and Grade 3 English

Cheerio

Assuming we miss finals, I hope Teague cheerfully sits all the players down for an edited 'highlights package' of our year.

Teague needs to be upbeat and positive before playing the package, and thank the players for all their hard work etc etc.

The lights go down, then the video begins - it comprises only a montage moments where we coughed up 6-7 goals straight to lose critical games we should've won.

Video finishes, lights go up. Teague says "If any of those moments went right, \you'd all be playing finals next week. Enjoy your holiday", then walks out.

Are you sure about that? Could you post a link to the Grammatical correction please of the sentence..."Son a good education is never wasted".
If you are right I will happily admit I am wrong. If not.................apology excepted.

Here you go.....
