Although our first half looked pretty pissweak, one thing we did avoid was the famous 30 point run and stay in touch despite Freo dominating possession. Showed a lot of grit and dominated the second half at least as much as they did in the first half.

Gutsy performance. Deserved to win in the end. But very lucky way to get it. Is that our first after the siren win since Round 22, 1987?

Cons:

Soft early free kick goals to Freo.
Small forwards really struggled until after the siren.

Brayshaw dropped Doc just after he kicked the ball during free kick motion - downfield. Soft but was there.

Yep - don't think the last free was there but the first two that they got weren't either ( but that won't be discussed)

The last free was much more a free than either of the 50-50 frees that got them two of their first three goals. Not even close.

Our inaccurate kicking could have cost us the game, apart from that and the two goals from free kicks that weren't there in the first quarter. On the balance of play we deserved to win. Well done boys, enjoy the win.
