Con: after a great first quarter we let them get a sniff and then had to win really ugly.

Pro: I'm upset by with a win. Who would have thought this time last year when we were 1 - 11, stone motherless last, and in the depths of despair? We have come a long way in a short space of time. Our expectations have been raised and to be annoyed by the way we played that have us a win is the best indicator that we are on the way up.

Go Blues!

Didn't get nervous like other close games as I felt we could control it. Seems we were always doing enough.

Next time we play a shit side though we need to play to our standard not theirs. Close season so percentage is important. We wasted 6-7%.

Nice to feel flat after a win...lol,.

It seemed like those umpires had never seen a wet weather game before. Just let them play you ****wits.

Really happy with the way Setterfield, Cuningham, Kennedy and Pittonet are coming along.

Got the win and we’re still within reach of the top 8. Bring on next week.

Maybe we need more people in the media. If that was an Essendon* player getting scragged out of the game the way Cripps is lately there would be footage of it on every footy show.

Setterfield clearance/contested possession rate up there again.

Nice to see Kennedy hitting the scoreboard.

Sam Walsh very good.

Thought Weitering and Jones were good.

PLOWMAN was good.

Pathetic camerawork from Foxfooty.

Yeah, he was fairly awful today. Prefer to play Kennedy or SOJ as one of our 'talls'.

Obviously played him as a 2nd ruck because Casboult unable

Reckon Moore wouldve come in for Casboult regardless had H not been injured

I haven't seen the game but I see the inside 50's were 54 to 41 our way. I presume we had no-one to mark it down there????

Credit to Plow. Was excellent today. As was Curnow on Simpkin.

No in-between. Beverige said our efficiency into the F50 was of the charts two weeks ago. Similar against Geelong. Other weeks we are horrible.

Ordinary game, crap umpiring but will take the win.
Our bogey team who we hardly ever beat so good to finally get a win over them.
Our backline held up well and Pittonet played well against Goldstein.
Need to improve our goal kicking.
We can sit back now and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Stay safe everyone.

Lyon and Riewolt on Fox footy just highlighting how harsh the reversal at 3qtr time was implying umpiring cost them or putting a question mark on the win. What absolute flogs

This post takes the cake
Happy with the win but in the context of the 18 teams we are middle of the road
We were very ordinary after quarter time and Pittard’s stupidity could of cost North the game.

The positives are we have improved but we have a long way to go.
Pittonet has made a big difference. He competes
Setterfield and Kennedy have been much better although they were both ordinary after half time
Need to play 4 quarters against the better sides
Williamson might need a spell but I still rate him
McGovern is still a concern
Doesn’t do enough and his body is about as brittle as a warm chicken bone
Betts will have games like that at his age . He hasn’t much time left.
Murphy is so soft. His inability to tackle is an embarrassment
Moore was a spud at Richmond. Why would it be any different at Carlton
There is plenty of talent in the WAFL VFL etc
Particularly bigger blokes who take time
We need to snaffle a few guys from those leagues
Gibbons is good
Have a look at Kyron Hayden who played for Subiaco. He toweled up Betts today.
Seriously over picking guys like Mullett and O’ Shea
And why TDK wasn’t preferred is bizarre

I know you don’t read my posts but
What is our standard
I think our standard is overall average
It’s getting better but at the moment where not much better than North
Don’t forget Cunnington is their most important player and he is out
To be far Curnow is out to and I reckon he is our most influential player

Bottom line Jim is where a long way off it

Anyone else notice in the first quarter that the goal umpire (Chelsea?) was laughing when McMillan mis-handballed to Cunningham and he kicked a goal ?
