Are we now falling head over heels in love with kids as a response to the old player riddled teams? having found ourselves with a crappy list are we over-reacting?

If this is what you truely believe... that a young "talented" player putting in a lot of "effort", but getting whipped week in week out should stay in the team by default... if that is what you really think, then I'm glad you have absolutely no say in what actually happens at the club.

How about the coach picks a side that will hopefully be competitive but will also be geared towards building for the future.

If some of the kids struggle to the point that it looks like their confidence is suffering, then give them a run in the Ants so they can recapture their confidence.

And if the ship starts leaking, then maybe bring in a few mediocre yet steady 25+ players to make sure the ship doesn't completely sink.


Livo and Walkers confidence would have been more a factor that they were fighting for a spot in the side and probably felt they needed to justify their spots etc

How about a coach who tells a kid - I dont care how badly you might be beaten week in week out. So long as you can show me that you are giving 110% you will be among the first selected every week and I will guarantee you 2-3 quarters of game time per match (ie only taken off for rests). The goal here is to provide you with the experience needed to get you up to speed as quickly as possible.
