No you you would be the squeaky wheel.

Methinks some take thier footy way to seriously. I follow Carlton because they have given me enjoyment over many years, I still enjoy going to the games and I do enjoy winning far more than losing, but at the end of the day it is just a game.

A couple of years ago I realised that I was taking it all to seriously when I started to lose sleep over footy and that it was taking over my life to the point of having a seriously damaging effect and my personal and professional life. It was no longer 'fun'

Now footy ranks about sixth on my list of priorities. I am 'happy' we are on the bottom? No. I am 'happy' that the club is struggling financially? No. Do I want to see us be successful again? Absoloutly! But for me the best way I can support the club, is to buy my memberships, get along to games, buy the merchandise and yell myself hoarse week in week out for the boys, groan when they play poorly, cheer when they do well. In short enjoy myself. We will be successful again, the structure is being put in place, the players are being assembled for this to happen, the hard yards are being done. And when we are I will celebrate as hard as anybody else, but be buggered if I will shit can anybody on the way.

Good post BM. Much better than camelboy's picture. Much more deserving of a POW.

Mine would be:

1) Ogling cans
2) Searching for love
3) Painting the greatest masterpiece of all time
4) Being critical of people I've never really met
5) Carlton

yes but on par with Neighbours..

And you look forward to Lance going to London over summer and putting on his tights to do the kiddies pantomines type fun..

Classic Synbad! No criticism from me on that comment. It shows that you do have some sort of sense of humour.

Yeah, I was a fan of neighbours as a child but as I've gotten older, I can't stand it now.

Same old shit all the time. It's a pile of crap, repetitive storylines and wouldn't be the only crap show on tv.

I spose synbad, we should get lance on the Biggest Loser Aussie Version(Just a joke lance supporters!! and nothing to do with his output on the footy field from 2005 - which was good).

Or It could be Celebrity Biggest Loser.

I'm a tragic.

Footy is about 3rd on my list. The only thing stopping me from watching the footy be it at the oval or on TV would be a family ilness or a Pets illness. My friends can get stuffed...so can work....and so can my annoying partying neighbours.

Ever since I was 13 my friends know that I do nothing untill the footy is over.

Nothing!!!!

BRING IT ON!!!!

Yeah I agree BM,we all seem to take the game too seriously, prior to Andy being drafted, I was a passionate Geelong supporter,I would always take out my frustrations by chopping wood.Geelong's progress could always be gauged by the height and volume of my woodpile. :(

Yes BB,as a former player I still keep in touch with the results, recruiting etc.,Andy only played two senior games at the Club prior to being drafted.

My dad said Andrews first game was a ripper but his second was very quiet. He's getting old though..so he could be a bit off the mark....

We are all Echucians. My dad doesn't miss a game. He says how he wouldn't walk across the road to see an AFL game cos I'ts all corrupt. Loves his local footy though. :-D

Sometimes I just feel like talking carlton with all my 'fleshy' friends. You see, they don't know shit and just want to talk about their beloved blues. They don't know that Lance has fat issues, they don't know that we will be shit for another 5 Yrs, they don't know any of the NAB stats for our new recruits, or even their names. It's all just about going to the footy and supporting their team no matter what.

I hate all this realism...it sux sometimes....

Bring on the ignorant optimism!!! Swallow your pride!! Our decisions and opinions don't matter and we'll still be Carlton supporters in ten years so spare yourself the heartache and just think premierships for awhile.
