From the newspaper reports it sounds like Kreuzer, Thomas and McGovern will at least be named in the extended team. I think they will be tempted to bring McGovern straight in to try to stretch the Richmond defence with Casboult sharing the ruck and McKay staying closer to goal.
And I suspect Jones will come back as well given we’ll need him to take Lynch or possibly Reiwoldt.

He looks like he's lost quite a bit of weight so if he's put in the effort, and will add value, I'd definitely bring him in.

According to his tweet it looks like Cottrell is playing this week.
I saw somewhere that Jones will not play.

Interesting bench.... appears that 1 will miss out that probably shouldn't.

I would like to see Thomas,Jones,McGovern,Kennedy and Gibbons all play..... but obviously can't.

Final in/outs I’d say
In: Kreuzer, Jones, Thomas, McGovern
Out: Phillips, Goddard, Schumacher, Kennedy/Deluca

First three certainly in I’d say. McGovern for Kennedy maybe Deluca 50/50

Much stronger team with a chance to rattle the Tigers.

Must have been some sort of joke about Cottrell.
Apparently the funeral for Jones' mum was yesterday.

Deluca is in the starting 18 so he's in.

Not sure why but I'll leave it to the experts.
Jones in for Goddard
kruezer for?
Thomas for Shu

Maybe if Jones doesn’t play, Casboult plays back on Lynch and just marks everything that comes within 15m of Lynch!

No way Gibbons will be dropped after playing his best game for the club, so it seems a straight Gov / Kennedy choice, assuming Jones is ok to go.

With wet conditions forecast I think Kennedy might be suited to playing midfield this week. Must say I would prefer McGovern in the forward line ahead of Lang.

Richmond are dynamite in the wet. Their game revolves around getting it forward at every opportunity, any way possible. Knock it on, kick it off the deck etc etc.
We have to play the same type of wet weather football to match them. Don't overpasses the footy. Long kicks into the front half and keep it there. Players like Deluca, Gibbons, Lang should play a significant role.
I'd also consider Cuningham or Dow if the weather is crap.

This will be a good test for the club and we could safely say a test in our development this year. A tale of two sides you could say.
From the round 1 teams played, the following players will be missing due to selection unavailability:
Richmond
Higgins, Cotchin & Rance.
Carlton
Curnow, possibly Kreuzer & The Gov.

Listening to Teague's presser Gov's playing.
Teague said Govs ability to bring the ball to the ground will be crucial following McGovern and Barras' marking fest last week.

I'd think Gov would take Kennedy's place as the 3rd tall forward.

Also sounds like Kreuzer will be 1st ruck having recovered from a wear and tear injury to his hip, and his side kick will be the best 2nd ruck in the comp in Levi, "because Carlton always play 2 rucks": his words.

Jones a possibility to work with his partner Weiters, but Teague was happy with Weiters and Plows battle against Kennedy and Darling last week.

I think bigger bodies will be required in the wet, so Kennedy might be handy. The again DeLuca's speed may be needed too.

I would have loved Cuningham and Stocker to be playing in the wet.

If it rains we go from having a chance to almost no chance.

I watched the Melbourne vs Tigers match. Melbourne were hanging around until it rained. Then the Tigers kept playing the same level and swamped the Dees who couldn’t get near it. Tigers style and wet weather is a good combo fo them.
